I had a 1991 and 1992 Saab 9000 and those things were like tanks. Interior looked pretty crappy but the engine and transmission (5MT) was smooth like butter. My friend had plenty of 900's and no problems either. Seems like the older ones are much more reliable then the newer years.
My neighbor has a newer one (bought it pre-owned) and it's been solid since day 1.
I thought this was old news though. For some reason I feel like I already knew Saab was going bye-bye....
