Thanks, the Kevlar wrapped TBB and 710N bypass valves are already on order. I also picked up some new plugs and will be changing the oil early. This is all in preparation of further changes.

Congrats Steve... very happy for You, Jennifer and the Girls.

Before you move forward with the Audi, I have a request.

Just 1 thing you have to do before unloading the CL-S... traction bars!...

I'll try and get to work on that this week. I really have too as the CL-S may be gone soon.

Nope, just that any work on torque arms may divert time from the IC's.

I can not find that link that provided great information on buffing. I'll keep surfing though. The cabinent I thought I put that and other information has been taken over by Barney and Wiggles DVDs.

I decided a while ago to limit what all I was doing. But that does not mean everything is dropped.

Too many people doing it already. That is unless there is a small item which is desired.

I am considering one change down the road. Most people go to K04 or K04/16 turbos. Since the engine has to be pulled why not take it a step further. I'm considering a new manifold and adapting the Garrett GT28R turbos. The ball bearing turbos may offer some advantages over the K04's and should support about 700 HP potential.

How would you go about with tuning somthing like that?

Also i think the APR stage 3 uses the Garret GT28R (or GT28RS) for my car. But fawkers want $5300 for the kit.

The tuning wouldn't be any different than the K04 tuning. The turbo would just react quicker and be a little more efficient but the total boost would remain the same.

I thought someone was using the GT28R on the 1.8T kit.

I'm interested in knowing if insurance was comparable between the two vehicles or if the S4 carries a much higher premium? I test drove a blue/black S4 recently and really liked it.

That was the very interesting part, the S4 was lower by a decent margin.

throw a body kit on that car and some wheels and it will look leaps and bounds better than a cl imo. Power wise, the options are endless.

Naw, body kits just aren't for me. But I am considering rims:

I am very happy with my find. The limited availability is the reason I went ahead and picked up this one while still owning the CL-S.

Those rims are hot. My friend worked his S4 right. He has no body kit, has wheels, carbon fibre hood with painted accents, eyelids, chip, intake, exhaust, coilovers, sways, stb and some more mods. It is very good looking while still having that stockish,, catch a person off gaurd kinda look going.

I do like those but am a bit worried at their cost. Since I never get rims this type of purchase is new to me. I would not be shocked if they say they are in the $700/rim range.

I am also considering the SSR GT3

haha HREs are close to 800-1k range EACH!

Other custom wheel makers are DPE and Iforge that are far cheaper.

SSR are nice too.

Thanks for confirming and exagerating my fear.

I don't think I would feel comfortable laying out that much for rims that provide no significant performance benefit. Heck, the SSR GT3's are about $530 each and I think that is too much for my tastes. But I don't want to go too cheap either.

Heck, maybe I'll just refinish the stock rims. They aren't bad looking, just plain with that light grey paint.

I have pretty much confirmed that I will be going with GIAC. I needed to make this decision since the CL-S6 is practically sold...

GIAC is nice too

Get whatever one is closer to you just in case there are any issues. Tuner support is always nice.
