I'm highly considering it.
Its down to these 2 cars.
OR
Wait and get the EVO7 early next year...
Comments, thoughts?

For me, S2000 Hands Down. It is a purists car though and a lot of people don't like them. Forget what the masses say, I think the 350z is a trendy car, just like the IS300, only the z is an actual performance car.

well the s2000 is a limited edition model...but its not too practical...on the other hand... 350zs will be rather common w/in 1.5 yrs here....the Z will have crazy aftermarket support though

S2000 100%....the 350Z is fast and all, but like someone else said, there going to be real common real soon, and i personaly would love to have a roadster....my choices were between the S2000 and the CL-S 6speed, and to this day, i still question which i should have gotten, but as you can see i went for the CL, but i would def. go with S2000 over 350Z anyday.

i love hearing how many of these there will be on the road. Maybe its different near the coasts, but at max there are a few hundred available a year here. I called Iowa City Nissan and they are getting 3 z's for the entire year. Hummels in des moines is getting the Biggest # with 5 per month. Hummels is the largest nissan dealer in the state, they won some nissan award which is why they are getting so many z's

As far as the Lancer EVO goes. If it were in the mid 20 range or under maybe. But for high 20 to 30k no way.

I'm waiting for the 04 WRX STi remodel. It looks tight as hell, not like the current model with the gay headlights. Only thing is that the STi will have altezzas, but that can change
Can anyone say 315 HP AWD launch?

Would put my money into the 350z. Nice usable power band, and decent everyday driver. Weekend car, the s2000 all the way, purist roadster, small, light, nimble, torqueless. However, price wise, they climb to 35k pretty quick [either car] when well equipped. That's blown 03 cobra territory for me...I know they're totally different cars but i'm just a sucker for HP

tough choice...there is a hard top option for the S2....im big 6'2" so i'd go 350 but really I'd hold out for the G35 coupe like several others have said....i think there's going to be a boatload of tuner parts for these cars..b.etween the 350/max and the likely hood that a GTR will spring from the G35 C

being 6 ft 3 I can't go with the S2000(no offence to Honda) ( i sat in one and I was UNCOMFORTABLE). so I'd go with either the Lancer Evo or WRX STi, cause I love to take my friends in a WRX sti and floor it through a 35 mph curve at 60 mph and it doesn't phase the car.

Mike, you think the Evo is gonna be poor build quality?
I'm not too sure about mitsubishi quality, but we shall see.
I think the interior looks totally lame. :shakehd:
The dash looks cheap, econoboxy.

i know above i said I'd either wait on Evo or the WRX sti I'd probably lean more toward the Sti cause you mod those out like a mo fo for like 2000-3000:P (they come out of the factory pretty fast) . Subaru's quality is pretty good. I had one friend(this is a old school subaru(like early 80's) he bought a while back just as a beater he thought if it takes him a couple years till he has enough money to get a nice car it would have done it's time. well he planned on running it only about 2 years(cause he thought it would either die or but rusted out by then) he ran it 5 years and still had life in it. . I'll admit a a subaru isn't the quality of a Honda but i think it's hanging there.

Is it true they didn't bother with the Evo VII and are going straight to the EVO VIII for American sale?
Anyway, I would say None of the Above because I don't like any of those cars enough to sell my CLS for.
Besides, I'm keeping the CLS as a comfy daily driver. Maybe get a car to mod and toy with in another year or two. Maybe a WRX or Evo VIII if it's not too trendy and played out. But I've never been a fan of Mitsu reliability.

I drove the S2000 last week and loved it. I haven't driven the 350Z yet. Resale value is unbelievable on the S2000 because it's a limited edtion.

S2K is a convertible and corners like no other car, period.
350Z is cool, but I think S2K is cooler. I want to get an S2K in addition to my CL-S. Won't make my final decision until spring, though.
S2K is WAY fun to drive.
