The S is boosted

I think I am the first 08 to be supercharged! All the AP2.1 parts fit perfectly, hondata had no problem with the ECU reflash and with the help of who I bought the SC from the installation was a breeze. I hang out a fair amount on the S2ki website, and there is an upstate NY forum and in that section there are local classifieds. I have been watching them hoping to find a set of Volks in the area at a great price, but this was too good of a deal to pass up. I agreed to buy it if the seller helped install it and if it didn't fit would take it back no questions asked, so I got the top of the line polished Comptech Supercharger with aftercooler for 5 grand, and a helper to get it installed. Its been pretty ugly up here the last few days so it was the perfect time to commit to the install, we finished it up lat this afternoon and the roads were damp but clear so we took it for a short spin. What a night and day difference, the car feels so much faster, after this you realize just how slow it was from the factory. I have a few other things planned before I can really push it, the rear diffs are known to be the weak link with this set up so I want to get the diff upgraded before I really push the car, the guy I bought this from didn't have the SC on for long and never did the diff upgrade, or I would have bought that as well. Overall I think it was money well spent, this car is now a boxster S killer, spring can not get here soon enough.

We took a crap ton of pictures, I'm working on getting them hosted, stay tuned(no pun intended)

Sheesh i love the S2k stock, cant even picture how it is boosted.

What do they normally run in the 1/4 with the SC?

Or is this a 5k post?

you stinking jesal! a properly set up SC'ed S2k runs low 12's, with a good tune, slicks, etc... you can make it to the low 11's and if the planets are in alignment its possible to crack into the high 10's

I couldn't find any one an AP2, I should added a pirate into the story, that always makes things more believable

On a side note, currently there is not a plug and play way to supercharge my car it would take a lot of custom work and cost about 2/3's of what the car did - i.e. not worth it. To properly SC an AP2.1 it takes around 7k to do it safely, with a bolt on/plug and play set up - not worth it IMO, just buy a different car.

high 10 to mid 12 depending on how serious of a "kit" you go with and what other items you do to support it. You can SC the early AP2s just not 07 and 08 for sure and possibly 06.

my mistake, your probably stuck in the 12's with a SC, which isn't a bad place to be stuck.

About the same amount, but installation is a bit trickier and you have even higher under hood temps which is a huge problem with all FI S2k's.

Wow, surprised this is still opened considering post-count threads are not allowed.

But since I like Tim, I won't be a dick and do what I normally do... which is delete the topic so the OP goes back down below their "milestone"

Congrats on the 5k iTimmy
