they'll wait and see how these cars sell first and then decide. The supra market has never gone away. However, i think it would be mistake to bring it back with a n/a i-8.

I thought the Supra was either cut last year in Europe or this year is the last year. Am I wrong?

Wasn't one of the reasons they cut the supra here was because of the price was getting to high. If they bring it back they are going to have to make it a $30-40k car to go up against the nissan's, Audi's,BMW's, S2000. And it probably wouldn't be as good as its last model year here in '98 (i think) So I don't they will bring back the supra but they might have something else up their sleeve. Does toyota/lexus even have a sports car here?? I can't think of one off hand.

I've heard whispers of a MKV, but no definite plans for one in the US yet. Did hear something about the Lexus 4.0L 400SC engine going into a Supra prodution with the possibility of a TRD SuperCharger addition. I believe the hp was estimated at about 390, not sure if that was with or without the SC. They were also talking about putting a detuned formula one engine, but that was a 1.8L i believe, they decided against that. Also another rumor is toyota super car somewhere in the $70,000 range to compete with NSX and Z06 Corvettes, and Porsches.

Rumor is that Toyota Team Europe (TTE) is going to build a special limited edition of the Lexus IS200/300 with the GS/LS430 engine.
It would be a BMW M3 killer.
The reason for this would be an entrance to the DTM series next year but I have my doubts because Toyota is entering Formula one this year.
If Toyota would bring the Supra to Europe with the model showing on the pictures they wouldn't sell nada.
To ugly for Europeans with this 300ZX copied nose.
Maybe for the US but not enough style to go with the big boys.

The sickest video I 've seen on a supra was a yellow supra (i think the SEMA Supra) anyway 1300hp and the guy was driving it around a track at like 120mph sliding in the corners peeling out with smoke billowing up form the rear tires. Just letting the car push its way through the turns, there is computer video out there somewhere of this. It is also perhaps the most amazing DRIVING I 've ever seen. Kind of like rally racing except on a road course, with 1300hp.

No, I drive something faster and more European but I used to drive Honda for a long time until there were only 4 cylinders left and I wanted some more :-)
My last Honda was a Shuttle, what was the first Oddysee in the US, and before that an Accord Coupe 2.2 but this car was very under powered.
The Shuttle was because of a family situation.
Now I drive a Volvo S60T5 with a few mods and I am in the process of buying a V70 AWD to start a new project.
I like the CL forums because of the nice stories.
Only problem is that I am a little fed up with fwd and higher power, thats's why I am looking for an AWD at the moment.
I wouldn't be surpised to see a 2004 RWD Acura because the limit of FWD has been reached.
Look at Infinity with the G35, It's going to be a big hit!
I like the racing stories on this forum also, very nice and funny sometimes.
