Roof Rack?

I know I've seen a circa '99-'03 3.2TL with a roof rack.. it was a white TL... lots of mods... really really clean (including the mugen front grille), but yeah basically, it had a roof rack too (for bikes I would assume).

Does anyone have any info on roof racks and such? Just any general info...

Where I would be able to pick one up...
How much it would cost...
Whether it ends up scratching up the roof...

etc. etc.

I would recommend a yakima roof rack. No it will not scratch your roof if you install it properly. go to your local REI store... or visit yakima's website. the rack system itself should run about $150-200...then depending on what you want to carry on top..those accessories are usually $70+ dollars for bike carriers and then $130+/- for kayak carriers/stackers, etc.

Hmm, the one that I was referring to that was on the white TL doesn't seem to be anywhere on their site.

It had a little slope design that went from lower to higher, which I kinda liked.

Does anyone remember the white TL @ all?
I'm not too sure though... did that guy with the white TL part out his car?

most roof racks are designed to be as level as possible. Thule and Yakima are the big brands. Don't know what other ones are out there except B brands.

Oh yeah, I mean it's level, it's just this one had some sort of sloped wind deflector front or something.

I use a Thule rack on my CLS....works good but I need to force the feet to fit a little. Instructions kinda suck and I position mine a little closer to the front than the instructions say. The little plastic molding that runs from front to back on either side of the roof will get pushed in, but after taking off the rack, those moldings will remold back to smooth without indentations.
