Awesome J. Glad it makes you enjoy the car more. Afterall that is why we spend all the money on these add-ons. I really do agree that the stock soggy pedal feel does hamper how I feel the car performs and you have gained much more modulation with the TB upgrade. Very good description of it.

Okay, after my morning commute today which involved some highway, some street and some walmart parking lot.
I will say that I think this is a must mod. Thanks guys for pushing me to do it.
the car definitely "feels" substantially lighter. It just glides...even the shifting feels smoother...almost faster although I know that's impossible.
Also, there's something about knowing this bitch is a gas guzzler and pressing the pedal every time you stop to get going. Like, FUHHHH...every single time you stop you're like, dude, do you know what it took to get these 2 tons moving...DONT STOP!
Now, no joke...that is gone. Car takes off. Even just lighting giving it throttle and easing into it for meandering through slower cars is much more effortless.
I expected the car to feel just burst into action and be crazy 900 hp to the wheels with this mod and I guess that's why I didn't fully appreciate it yesterday. But with a more subdued expectation today, I will say that this has to be done. This is the right TB for our cars. Bold statement but I trusted Andrew and Jason and they were right.
Maj, I bet it's more about the TB and how it's controlled vs the porting. Try it, resell if you don't like.

I had been researching TB's on & off for a while, and now following this thread it is really making me consider doing one to feel what you guys are talking about. I have never thought that the throttle felt sluggish or slow to respond at all, I mean when I put my foot in it she goes like a bat out of hell, so I can't imagine what it will feel like if the throttle was more responsive.

I also put some premium gas in it...will that do it?
JT...it's hard to describe, but picture the car feeling lighter when you take off. The pedal feels like you're pushing past something to get it moving, normally...then of course past 1/4 throttle, she's gone and you're giving it the mustard. With this TB...it's just a very flat and linear connection from pedal to accelerating. Take Andrew up on trying it...it's such an easy install. Idle relearn...try it...if you're not convinced. You're wrong.

I know it has absolutely nothing to do with porting, that's why I was perturb'd that you'd pay for a ported one.
If I see an LS3/7 tb for $100, I might get it... might.

I made a decision on that too btw...
driving it around getting the good mileage here and there but I'm gonna list it for sale and take some cash and refinance V to make payment lower.
I already paid the taxes and bulk of interest on my current loan, I might as well enjoy the damn rarity for a while longer. Gives the S4 more time to depreciate anyway.
There was an SQ5 parked in front of my place yesterday...fuh, in that blue color. Gorgeous.
In the meantime, V stays.

It's still me. Here. Watching.
Naw...I was mostly getting at the fact that I took a step back and decided to not get complacent about my love for this Caddy. Damn thing is a dream car...I'm lucky to drive one. Thing is bad fucking ASS.
Got it all washed for date night to the coldplay concert tonight.

LMAO, yeah brother...you guessed it.
sadly, I found the limitations of round and brown yesterday.
I did manage to go almost 100 miles before the fuel gauge moved though.

Ex hubby is actually pretty nice, although I can't imagine it not stinging to see new BF at his old house with his various cars
He had an A3, actually...TDI in black. Now he has an MDX on 22" Vossen so you KNOW he's authentic AF!
Actually, it looks really nice.

uh yeah...basically forced into buying a conversion van!
At least with J and I it's only 4 kids...so we can do a 6 person vehicle which basically forces you into only 3 row cars.
She maintains we only need her van though...I can still haz racecar.
Maj called it. She a keeper!
I pimped her van lately though...replaced a headlight...had condensation in both before...added HID (Johnny gon be mad...hid in reflector housing)...got her mini antenna, fixed a bunch of shit, got tires balanced...all weather hex mats for the entire thing. She says she doesn't care about car stuff but she does appreciate her car looking like new and being functional. She loves that thing.
