So i'm thinking of copying one of your recent mods. I like how the wheels on the S2K look with the wheel lettering painted a different color than the wheel itself. Never thought of doing this before. Since my wheels are silver i'm thinking of painting them gunmetal to contrast between the black car and silver wheels. I wonder if gunmetal is just going to look black though. I think i have to get a paint that is just slightly darker then the wheel silver so its doesnt look black.
Did you just carefully use the brush side of a touch-up paint tube?

Thanks, fellas.
MAS, thanks, man. Yeah, it's probably going to look blackish on such a small surface from a distance, but I think it'll look cool. The reason I did it is that since they had been powdercoated, they didn't have the machined letter look like the ones on the TL...so I wanted that pop. Happy with it, too.

I'm gonna buy both and give it a shot. I imagine you stepped back and looked at it well before it dried in case you didnt like it it would still be easy to remove.
Thx for the idea.
PS---lets see those orange lugs back on please.
PPS----Vero meet por favor

You're too much,
No problem, man. Honestly, I knew I wanted the obvious lettering so I was either going to sand off the plastidip, OR just paint it. In the end, it looked good enough and was totally reversible with some goof off.
I may have another look in the works for the lugs/vavles
Vero, I gotta chill...got something taking up my time in the next few months and I can't really focus on it yet. But I AM down for a meet this year together, for sure.

Love the second shot.
That plastidip shit is really getting serious, I've seen some rims that looks better than powdercoated haha.
Black rims always look great on silver car.
Imagine you powdercoat the stockies to black or Bronze
Beauty
Oh couple days ago found out that s2k is pretty slow compared to maaa car. Both on straight and curves hah!

Okay, new lugs arrived today. Steel, project mu knock offs with gold caps. I don't want teal on both cars and wanted to keep with the orange/red/yellow theme that the car currently has.
I'm super happy.

I know it's probably getting boring, but I snatch the camera on random days and keep on practicing and enjoy sharing...
I have to say that in looking at the fitment of these wheels, I'm VERY happy with the finish on them and won't be looking to swap anything for a long time.

Well, new item came in and I'm very happy with the quality and customer service. I'm always shocked at how wonderful the grass roots vendor base is for the S2000.
One maintenance item I was worried about doing, since I could sometimes hears the raspy chain sound when starting the car...was the TCT. After doing some research I decided that rather than spending $150 on an OEM one that might go bad again, I'd spend the money on the gen-x Billman 250 modified one. It seemed to address the weakness with some serious thought into applying more pressure at higher RPM rather than just putting more pressure on the chain, period like the ballade sports unit.
Well, it arrived today, I installed it immediately and shipped off my oem one back to pullman for my core refund.
Yay, one less thing to ever sweat on this car. I might be nuts but man does it feel good to not hear the rasp when I turn on the car. I'm sure placebo is in full effect but I feel like the gearing and even the engine grunt feels more solid now. Who knows...
