another few things ordered for the S...unfortunately no LS or Coyote motors were on the list.
Got some new oem mats coming in, the red "S2000" is almost not legible on the driver side and passenger side one was curled up at the end. ONLY thing in the car that looks worn.
And after some debate, I pulled the trigger on some hood damper. After losing an auction (I spaced out and forgot until 2 minutes after bid end) for some science of speed ones for about 1/2 price, I couldn't fathom spending $225 on some hood dampers. Especially since they were shiny stainless and didn't look oem. I found another ebay product that got great reviews and didn't force you to open the hood almost ALL the way up, which I think is goofy. These are low pressure and allow you to raise the hood to where you want it, basically. And only $65 shipped!

Congrats, J.
Very nice pick up, clean S2ks are hard to find these days.
I had a chance to drive one for a weekend a few months back. Initially my reaction was the same as yours, it felt a bit harsh for the first few miles but once you get use to the car its like dream
I am 6' and a bit on the chunky side so it took a bit of time to get comfortable with the interior.
Sure the engine lacks torque but the chassis makes up for it with superb handling.

Yeah, it's not torquey down low at all, but MAN, you can drop it into just about any gear and not hit the redline and bam, instant GO. I actually bounced off redline in the TL on Tuesday for the first time in a LONG TIME because I drove the S for a few days straight and my ears just got used to waiting to shift to a much higher pitch
I was also amazed at the turning radius, I was parked on the sidewalk and normally it'd turn into a 3 point turn to dodge the wife's car to put it into the garage, with the S, zipped right in. Last weekend, reinstalling the cruise control...parked in garage with door closed, BAM, like 6 extra feet in front of the car. LOL.
I love it, man...I have moments where I'm like, WTF DID YOU DO BUYING A 2nd CAR!!?!?! Then I drive it or go around a corner and I just smile and say fk it. I'm moving to a house that's bikeable distance from work...so who buys 2 cars and then drives none of them daily? THIS GUY RIGHT HERE!

Austin, no sir...I drive 17 miles NORTH to my current work location. I'll be about 5.5 miles EAST of it now so I'm actually closer to you.
Lemme google map...
I'm exactly 49.9 miles from my front door to your Mom's house.

Lazy? That's your department, krill breath! Last weekend I spent the entire weekend moving fans and fixing lighting and fencing at the new crib.
Also brought almost all the crap I have in the attic down into the garage in preparation for the move. That task was daunting and it looks like I have a 2nd TL in spare parts up there!
I've been eating pizza and chicken wings for 10 days straight to accomodate!
Yes sir, from Pembroke Pines to Lauderhill...
Yeah Meko, would it kill you to snag a few from the bathroom window while the Steven is showering? Better get that wide angle, is what I've heard.
Thanks YUM! I apparently put the thread in the wrong place, so I don't blame you one bit. Ha ha...
I go there at least once a week. I have a spoon fetish.
Seriously though, Home Depot runs are at 2 and it's only week 1.
Thanks, man...yeah, I agree, even when I put the soft top in, I don't plan to sell the hard top. To me, it changes the look of the car.
Thank you sir!
