Nice setup...Makes me wonder if I should lift my Tundra as well. And about the hot chick driving a truck, well it's preference. In my neighborhood, there is a fine lady that drives a lifted Ram 3500.

Nice truck. Funny, as soon as I saw it I thought of that Toyota in Back to the future for some reason. . .

Not really my thing. I'm not a truck-drivin' gal.

But, since you have an actual need for it, like pulling jet skis and driving in snow, I can understand.

I have to take issue with you saying its different.

EVERY Taco around here that is lifted, which seems to be about half, at least, has Moto Metal 951's

Hell, I'm sitting 6 feet from my brother's right now.

To the OP: That said, nice rig. Enjoy.

shouldn't that be the opposite that she should have the Si and you should have the Tacoma???

i'd be more turned on if my girlfriend drove a Jetta or even an H3 before a big ass truck like that.

Let me put this another way. I have both the Si and the Tacoma in MY garage. If a jetta is your thing and you want that in your garage, then go for it. I personally would never put a jetta in my garage. I would also rather have both no matter who is driving them in the family. As for the gas mileage, I still don't think we have even gone through a tank yet. I have heard, however, that the gas mileage is marginally affected because of the toytec lift; the spacers tighten up the suspension and offset the increase in tire. The tires aren't that much bigger either really - 265/65/17 versus 285/70/17. I'll post up the mileage once we finish a tank.

No worries bro, we absolutely love the setups. It is great to have to vehicles with different capabilities. I just like throwing ideas out there. Someone did mention the HFP suspension on the Si. The suspension combined with the Michelin PS2s is a great combo. The ride is stiffer than stock with just a slight drop - 0.8 inches. The suspension also maintains the factory warranty which is nice. I would recommend the suspension or anything like it from Honda.

actually i don't want a jetta in my garage, i would ask her to trade in the jetta for another car. you just presented to us stating that the Si is yours and the Tacoma is hers. how many times does your wife let you drive the Tacoma? Does she drive the Si?

They are both mine and hers really. We can drive either one, just depends on the day, how far each one of us is driving, what we are doing, what we are hauling, etc. I just happened to have the Si before we got married a year ago. She needed a new ride and there was no sense in picking up something similar to the Si, so we got the truck.

Dude chill.

I like both cars. And would probably drive either of them. It's not like you're pimping a Cabrio or something. I think you need to realize that more than half of what people say is their own opinion and if you are truely offended by it, then grow thicker skin.

And for the record, I drive an Infiniti I35 and the wife drives a Pathfinder. I got the truck more because we have a kid.

well you could've gotten a 4 dr sedan like a TL-S, TSX, G35, or Mazda6 to compliment the Si coupe, especially now with high gas prices.

True, but relatively the same. As for gas mileage the G35 (17/23), TL-S (17/26), and Mazda6 (17/25) are not all that better than the tacoma (16,20). For me, I look at cost per mile since I am reimbursed for my gas by my work. The difference in cost per mile for these vehicles on the highway compared to the truck is about 4 cents. Given 15,000 miles per year that is only a savings of $600. Not THAT significant.
