What would you do with it other than burnouts? It would be a chore to drive on a road course, I guess put drag slicks on it and try to bust into the 9s.

Sooo uh is it bad that he is pegging the tach like that

Of course the built motor is probably capable of handling higher revs than the stock motor

I dunno ... I like the car but I don't like the driving. What I mean by that is the douchbaggery of the driver tearing it up on regular streets.

I think anyone that exhibits speed like that on crowded public roads is a complete ass. But i love how when a video of a supra taking out bikes on the highway at insane triple digit speeds, it's ok. But when an American car is going nuts it's not ok to some. Like i said i dont condone either, but there is a double standard.

The same can be said for all those high power supras that you never see racing off the line just from highway rolls. Cars with that kind of power are at the mercy of suspension, tires, and aerodynamics.

The GTO handles quite well actually. This was my first ever hpde and I took my gto with stock suspension and 19inch wheels and 410whp head cam package and for a heavy ass car it motored past alot of cars.

thats one badass vette, but its WAY too damn loud. I know a guy that has a 900+ hp twin turbo lingenfelter C5 Z06 the car has gone 9.10's @157 yet its so quiet that untill the turbos scream you would never know that its anything but stock, hell he could open the hood for you and you still wouldnt suspect a thing untill its too late LOL Its the ultimate sleeper

i never understand why people have this thing against pushrod engines. Isn't the point of technology to make things better? Or, do people just like technology for technologies sake. LSx engines are reliable, powerful and get way better gas mileage than most of their counterparts. It is a win/win situation. Doesn't that make them superior?

I think the lsx motors are one of the best motors ever made period.

I was agreeing with you and making fun of the DOHC elitism while I was at it. Every time somebody bags on a pushrod engine for being "old school" I remind them that overhead cams have been around since 1913.

Personally, I love pushrod engines - especially the LS series.

Sorry dude, i'm just a little touchy because people rag on pushrods all the time around my way. Then when we hit E-town, they don't understand how my Pushrod All motor Trans Am, Just ran their DOHC asses.
