Race tracks in Illinois

Anyone know of any race tracks in Illinois where they have instructors to teach you how to drive like a pro?

well, most of the dedicated racing SCHOOLS are on the east or west coast. But that doesn't mean you can't get some kind of INSTRUCTION at the Illinois tracks. You could try the open track events, where they always have instructors on-site that will take you out in your car and show you all the lines etc. But it isn't going to be as comprehensive as a racing SCHOOL would be.

This is probably the closest racing school to Illinois - ironically they even have an "Acura High Performance Course" - I think it's called that because they use RSX's. Check it out:

check out these links for more info regarding Illinois racetracks etc:

might also try this query link to get more information on tracks that I have not listed.

AutoBahn CC has a racing school listed. Otherwise, Skip Barber has a school at Road America a few times a year.

Just sign up with windy city bmw or Audi chicagoland chapter and they always have track days.

Audi group does 2 day events for around $300 with instructor.
List of some events going on.

Was going to say the same thing. Find open track events or get your self into a club. alot of them will have track days with instructors.

Drive a few more miles nort to Road America and they have events with instructors also.
