question for the R6 owners

Let me start off with saying I'm not a hard core crotch rocket rider.
Occassionally I ride with my buds places and we'll trade bikes to see what it's like.they have CBRs,Katanas,Ninjas,R6s. I personally now have a 05 Goldwing. which is like comparing a Lincoln to a Mustang Cobra I know. However my 2 buddies that have R6s act like the R6 is the baddest 600cc bike in the class. then all my motorcycle magazines rave how good the R6 is. my one buddy had a CBRF4i traded it over winter on a 06 CBR600RR. I've ridden the R6,CBRF4i and now the CBR600RR. BY FAR IMO the CBR600RR is the hottest bike. not only looks but also performance. my buddies with the R6 won't admit the R6 is not as good as the CBR600RR. he has the red and black color scene on his the R6 owners say it's just as good. so what is with R6 owners? I just don't think the CBR600RR gets the attention it deserves.

well R6 is redesigned and is the hottest 600cc bike on the market IMO, followed by Gixxer 600 or Ninja 6RR. R6 owns CBR600RR in every category... looks wise, performance.... you can't beat it. I know Suzuki GSX-R600 is hot bike too which has few more goodies then R6 but at end I went wtih R6.

Now let AZ judge the looks between R6 and CBR600RR

2006 YAMAHA R6

2006 HONDA CBR600RR

Honda made few small changes to '06 CBR600rr but I think they seriously need to redesign the whole bike.

that's a lie. yamaha lied about their redline. it's actually ~16k. check the site. they used to rant and rave about their 17.5k rpm redline but they took it all down b/c someone dynoed their bike and showed the true redline. and comparing the new r6 with the 600rr is unfair. it's like comparing the 3.2cls to the 3.0 cl. wait and compare the bikes next year when the '07 600rr comes out. oh yea, i owned an '04 600rr, so... 600rr>r6

but the current 600rr design is outdated, i'll give you that.

i love my 600rr. Im building my to be a track bike.I have about 4-5k in aftermarket parts. The 600rr is designed to be a track bike. Now with that said a friend of mine has a Raven r6 (the flat black one) and its a hell of a nice bike. With either the R6 or the 600RR you cant really go wrong. Yhe only thing that really sucks about the 600rr is the seat (hard as a rock, takes getting used to) and there is not storage what so ever.

funny thing is i have seen both these bikes in person and i like them both.....i also sat on both of them but for me i think i would go with the 600RR. the reason why i was looking is because i'm going to get my license really sooon and want to start riding. my dad has been riding for 20+ years and somewhat is hesitant on me riding but wants me to get into it. this summer or next i'll be riding.
