Post TSX Decision
Well, since most of this board has good taste, let me get everyone's opinion. I just sold my '05 TSX Navi. I can't decide on the next car. Since my wife already has a 4-door Accord, I want a coupe or something fun. So I've searched and searched and narrowed it down to two cars.
1. 2008 Audi TT 2.0T coupe
Pros:
-Gas Milage
-Great ride
-Nice looks
Cons:
-Not sure about reliability. But I'm leasing.
- Slow compared to competition
-Overpriced? Although the dealer knocked off $3k right away, i'm not sure if it's still a good deal.
2. 2008 G37 coupe
Pros:
-Fast
-Sounds Nice
-Better reliability
-Excellent color display, even without Navi.
Cons:
-Gas milage, gas milage, gas milage
-Doesn't seem like a car for an enthusiast.
-Cheap interior.
What do you guys think? Agree with my assessments?

135i - Not enough toys. Need to add at least premium package and it becomes well over $40k. Over budget.
128i - Price is good, but lease payments suck. Probably because it's too new.
328i - Lease payments still suck. Plus everyone and thier mom has a 328i. it's nothing special.

i dont know what you mean by cheap interior. But last time i checked, G37 has very NICE interior. Maybe not the best, but definitely not cheap.
if you are an enthusiast, you would pick s2000/350Z over TT.

on to the next one...
Of the two mentioned above, I'd go with the G37 any day.
I drive my friends G37S on a weekly basis, the interior is NOT cheap by any means and I think the sport edition is a great "enthusiasts" car.
Is the Audi A5 too much $$?

All seriousness, I am in a similar situation to the OP. There are not many choices out there for us unless you want to go with a non-luxury brand. i.e. toyota, honda, nissan

I know you want a coupe, but what about a mini? they have plenty of mods available, get great mileage and they look pretty cool IMO.
If i had to choose between the two you selected, it would be the G37. If I made the list, I would have put the A5/S5 in the list. :twocents:

Gas mileage will kill you. I'm predicting a 15 mpg average.

If you need backseat then why is TT on your list?
i can understand you dont want G37 because of the MPG.
and i am assuming you want a car from luxury brand with low lease payment.
i think C class (C300) is your best alternative if you don't want G37.
i had a C230K before and imo it is a better car than my 1 day old A4.
my Audi dealer let me return the car 1 day after i bought it.

I don't think leasing is a very good deal unless you get the equivalent of like 1.9% APR and a high residual.
I still think you're better off with a used car ... And since you do most of your driving in the city and gas mileage is a bit of a concern I think the Acura TSX is your best bet.
Oh wait ...

man get a new GTI, sporty, lots of room, 200hp stock with a 2.0L turbo, good on gas if not boosted and if you are driving in the city you dont have to do much of that if you dont want to. and a simple 500 dollar chip can give you 60-70hp on all stock motor without further modifications.

TT is two-seater..
G37 has a bad gas mileage..
TL-S would be my suggestion since people usually get great deals on them.
