possibly getting rid of tsx: recommendations?

I'm thinking about parting ways with my tsx within the next 6months-year. I love everything about it except the somewhat sluggish engine. (i have AT) I am looking for a comparable model that is more engine responsive and more sporty. I am thinking about the new tl's that are supposed to come out for 08 or maybe even the new g37 coupe from infiniti. My price range is no more than 40k. Any suggestions?

You should wait and see what the new TSX is going to be like. It's suppose to come out spring of 2008.

personally, with that budget i'd look at the g37 or the 335i. ppl are raggin on the new g37 in another thread but if ur as old as i am it happens all the time with anything. a new model of the same thing comes out...ppl rag on it cus they don't like it...they see it and they want it...the endless cycle repeats.

it's so sad, everyone on g35 driver.com has already gone thru this cyle already but it has yet to hit this board. we're still in the "i hate it" phase lol.

if you have a 40K budget, spend 35 and get a pretty loaded A3, spend the other 5 and get a beater civic that you can use as a commuter and keep the A3 nice and clean.

Damn you talk about the A3 as if its a ferrari.

I'd get a 328 coupe or the G37 would be nice. G37 would be the best bank for the buck. IMO

Of course if you want to wait then see what the new TSX and TL has to offer. But i couldnt wait that long.

I really really like the A3, what can I say. I've wanted that car since last year. I have some stuff to pay off first before I can do so. Oh well, now that I'm getting closer to hearing about the new TSX I'm just gonna wait till more news surfaces about that before I go for it when I'm ready. later this year.

I like the A3 myself... maybe it's because it's so new, and you don't see as much of them on the road... but it gets my attention more than any other Audi's out there, besides the new TT and the Q7

Don't be greedy! keep the TSX. most people would love to have that car and with that age, most people either think that mommy and daddy spoiled their kids or that they actually busted their ass to get that car. There are many people out there today that just a working car every day.

big fan of the a3 too. but if you're looking for a $40k car in the next 6 months, i'd say 328 or g35/37.

Must it be new? 19 years old and wanting an automatic sedan? You sure you're only 19 (not 39)?

Why not a VW GTI, Subaru STi or Evo? It's a lot more sporty ... but nearly as 'luxury' as the TSX. Surprised no one has mentioned a Volvo S60R, Subaru Legacy GT, Saab 9-5 or Lexus IS ...

If you want sporty and lux ... how about a used Porsche Boxster (albeit a 2 door)? They do come in automatics ...

I'm thinking "iamandypark" (Andy Park) is Korean? And I'm not doggin' him, but at 19, yes... it'll be his car "most of the time" but daddy and mommy's payments/pink slip... and while he'll be driving the car "most of the time" daddy and mommy may need it here and there... and wouldn't want a STi or EVO or anything along that line... I don't mean to sterotype... but that's very typical of an Asian family... Heck! My parents did it for me

but I may be wrong... so sorry iamandypark if I am

if jesal and I agree then it must be true.

I would add that not only could I not wait for Acura to redesign the TSX and TL, I am not confident with the direction Acura is heading that it would be something I would be interested in at this point.

step up and get a V6. You most likely will never go for a 4 cylinder again unless its just for commuting and to save gas.

yes, you are correct on what you have just stated. The car is mostly mine so i can pick the car, the parents may need it from time to time but the real reason i would like an AT is because ill be living in the city for the next few years. That doesnt mean that i am not keeping MT in mind. The evo's and the sti's are very fun to drive how ever, i enjoy the luxurious aspects of the tsx (bluetoth, navi etc). So i am looking for a car that would satisfy my desire for a fun, sporty drive but also with the features of a modern luxury vehicle.

OR to drive a really fun car.

Some of the really fun cars to drive are 4cylinder.

Integra GS-R/Type R
Evo
WRX/STI

Just to name a few.
