I'm looking hard at swapping my '06 G sedan for an '01 740il (three growing boys!), so I sy go for it! That V8 is sweet and I haven't heard horror stories about the 4.4L version. I think the enjoyment will come from the DIY *and* driving. Let us nkow how it goes.

 

yes, sport package. well i went in the bimmer is flawless. the car is a fuckin blast, the power is very up to my standards lol the only thing i dont like is for the 540 is the shifter is WEAK!!!! if i get it short throw is the first mod lol. btw the dealer is gunna call there side dealer and talk to them about the tl so ill let you guys know

Well with all that talk i think I am going to the dealer 2morrow to see what there talking about on my range rover but i dont think im going to trade my TL in unless it knocks my payments down a whole lot

My aunt has an older BMW 7-Series. Not sure what exact model. 7xx Li I know that much. It has well over 200,000 miles and it still runs 140+mph. The only thing is, she said it will not run on regular gasoline. Premium or nothing. It's still rolling to this day!

 

lol every car ive had has seen nothing but premium, even my 92 pontiac bonneville lol

well guys it looks like im here to stay (for good) keepin the bad boy til its dead lol but yea he wanted me to put 2000 on the bimmer then 1500 then 1000 and im like nope walked my happy ass right out the door and unloaded a whole shit load of vtec pullin away from the dealer the sales manager was out the window flippin me the bird... hahaha suckaa decides i was lookin at the bmw forums and nothin compares to the zine lol

Question: Why do you always fly out of the dealerships with the VTEC screaming when a deal goes bad? Not dogging, just want to know why. I think its a little pointless.

 

Doing an oil change on a 540i (and most other BMWs) is possibly one of the easiest things you can do to a car.

Did you honestly think it was an even trade? Sorry but the TL's value dropped like a stone when the tranny issues started years ago. $1000 + your car for the 540 would have been a steal.
