Polish Mustangs

I didn't post this in the "video" thread, as it's too good not to see it.

It's one of the best amateur videos I have seen featuring a particular car. It was done by a Mustang club in Poland.

Excellent, Terry... thanks so much. Who would have thought there'd be a Mustang club in Poland, but then again, why not?

I didn't realize Ford sold that many mustangs in Europe ... Unless guys are getting US Servicemen to bring cars over for them ...

I think that's an impressive video considering a V8 in Europe is the anti-christ and is taxed to the bejeezus belt.

I really enjoyed the different models of Mustang. Older, Fox, 197, eight, six, Shelby, etc. For an amateur video it really captured the appeal of the car.

Can you imagine trying to film something like that in Canada or the US? We'd be arrested and cars impounded.

That video looks like it took a lot of work, and more pro than amateur.
That final shot of the driver in the 1G Mustang waving away the tire smoke was perfect.

That blue shelby was sweet. I didn't see any fox bodies, was there one in it?

Mustangs from 1994-2004 are built on a modified Fox platform. Arguably different from the original, they are similar in architecture.

I think I'm in your boat.

Since the 2012's are basically unchanged from the '11, I'm gonna try to see if I can hold out to see what the '13 brings.

Aside from a small boost in horsepower (15-20 hp for V6 and 5.0) I wouldn't expect much else for this generation Mustang... An all new one is due in 2014, if you want to wait, that's the one to wait for.

A whole new Gen? I don't want to see the Coyote V8 go away.

I think my favourite part of the video is the very beginning. Looking down at the street, if you look ever so closely, is a black car at the front of the black Mustang. When the driver gets in the car, the black cat leaves the black car and moves away. Too cool.

You mean 79-93, usually the term fox body does refere to those particular years but yeah I guess the years after did have similar architecture.

Nothing like a Coupe though, IMO thats a true fox.

Yeah, they were what the CHP used, lightest fox bodys. Didnt take much to make them move.

A whole new gen... It's the Mustangs 50th anniversary so apparently Ford is doing something all new for it... And supposedly it'll come with the almighty independant rear suspension.... Anymore details than that are scarce at this point.

hmm...I'd forgotten the 50th anniversary. I suppose the retro look will go away...although I LOVE the look of the current Mustang. I'm thinking/hoping that the Coyote engines will not go away after only 3 model years.

There has always been a niche market in Europe for certain cars. I remember being in Sweden on vacation and running into a car meet at the port in Helsingborg. It was a MOPAR meet. Nice old Darts, a few Challengers, etc.. As far as military goes, it's not that easy to do (I was military there from 1990 - 1992 and a civilian 1996 - 2004), selling USDM to a local, a lot of taxes, a lot).

That's what I thought. The thought of doing this would lead to arrest.

Here's some interesting trivia for you guys:

Did you notice the sound of the 2008 Bullitt? During the car's development, a team was assigned for a specific purpose. That being that the 2008 had to mimic the sound of the original 1967 S-code 390 used in the movie "Bullitt". It had to sound identical throughout the lower to mid low range. I always thought that was interesting.

I also liked the play of the new one driving by while the old one is "watching". Very good choreography.
