Plastic Headlight Cover-inside damage???
Plastic Headlight Cover-inside damage???
Hey guys, ever see this??: I bought a little 2005 SUV that has rather large plastic headlight units at each corner. They are not hazy, yellow, or cloudy in the usual sense-I have wet sanded and buffed & polished the heck out of the outsides with no real improvement.
The plastic covers seem to be full of thousands of tiny cracks which seem like they are inside the plastic rather than on the surface. Or you could say they look like they have thousands of tiny pits on the inside. I've removed the bulbs and blew out the insides of the housing with no result, so it is not just dust on the insides.
Anyone ever see this type damage before to headlight covers? I guess there is no fixing it, as wet sanding, etc. on the outsides does nothing.
