so strange that he could just walk in there and take pictures. i can't believe they just dropped everything and left. half of the pictures of the production line looks like they were being put together that day. cool pictures.

Longbridge is a part of Birmingham, England and the plant has changed hands many, many, many times....British Leyland, Rover Group, British Aerospace, BMW, MG Rover Group...the list goes on and on and on.

Apparently, in late 2006, some Chinese corporation bought MG Rover and started to build various cars and working on development of others at this plant.

From what I found by searching briefly, the Chinese corporation, Nanjing, has some sort of dispute over the long-term lease of the facility and ceased operations for a period of time. Hence the pictures.

screw the cars, i would have filled up some box trucks with the tools left behind.

dang, I would grab myself a frame and other useful parts to build myself a MG with LS engine. LOL

They told everyone to go home... so it looks just like... everyone went home... right in the middle of production...

I looked thru the 9 pages of the "28 days after " (good movie btw) thread... and it's kinda interesting... Urban Exploration and geocaching have become quite popular....
