This 'aint no classic that someone in their right mind would pay that much that'll probably get stolen verrrrry quickly.. Then what do you tell your insurance company? That you paid 11,500 for a car that's only really worth a couple grand?

KBB said that that car is only worth about 3,500... Though its a nice car in pristine condition, it is certainly not worth the kind of money that the guy wants for it.

It does look in excellent condition. On that car those miles would be very easy to roll back, heck look where the picture was taken lol, you going to tell me those guys could not roll back the miles...lol

Still its clean just not worth 13K, especially with CF showing more miles...

Looks like someone got screwed by the DMV... it was probably 1666 and 9/10's

Just another example on how CARFAX is NOT 100% reliable. Carfax data is only as accurate as the monkeys inputting the data. Garbage in Garbage out...

Rich, what's Kbb value on it... I'm too lazy to look it up...

Maybe F900 will post the black book value if we ask nicely

EDIT: Cars like this don't come up that often... Some price guides only list poor, good, and excellent condition values. This car would be in a class called "Beyond Excellent", so the values in the guides won't apply.

We had another low mileage example posted here awhile ago (a 94)...

"Excellent" condition means that the vehicle looks new, is in excellent mechanical condition and needs no reconditioning. This vehicle has never had any paint or body work and is free of rust. The vehicle has a clean title history and will pass a smog and safety inspection. The engine compartment is clean, with no fluid leaks and is free of any wear or visible defects. The vehicle also has complete and verifiable service records. Less than 5% of all used vehicles fall into this category.

Question is "why does the car have such low mileage"

Since the car has just sat for over a decade im sure some problems will start to pop up. Stuff starts to fail when it just sits and doesn't get used

Actually, the real question is why is there a topic open about this in here when he's selling it in the Black Market? How many topics do we need for an overpriced Legend??

I'm not going to close it.... but just sayin

Of course I know RonA. Not sure what that has to do with two topics in two different forums about the same thing.

Just b/c he keeps the Black Market clean of comments doesn't mean it needs to be posted again to discuss it.

I agree though, this car will more than likely have tons of mechanical problems poping up all over the place the minute someone starts racking up the miles on it. It's really bad for a car to sit for months at a time with all of the fluids in it, rotting everything out.

I further agree with everyone who has said this car isn't worth it. It's certainly no collectible by any means, nor is it anything special from an averave Legend aspect. The only thing that's special about it is the fact that it (looks like) it's in showroom condition. Due to it's condition, and what has been stated the KBB is, I'd say not a penny more than $4K.

That said, it's a REALLY clean looking car!

well maybe b/c you're mod you don't see it the way.
So you're saying that every time someone posts something For Sale that people feel the need to discuss they should be allowed to create a new topic in Car Talk to talk about it?

Makes no sense to me. You let one person do it, then everyone wants to do it....
