I love that steering wheel!!!
From CarAndDriver.com:
"BMW 330i Performance Package
If you're disappointed that the current M3 comes only as a two-door, perhaps the four-door 330i Performance Package, which made its world debut in Los Angeles, will provide some solace. The new 330i PP is powered by a modified 235-horsepower 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder engine that features different camshafts and performance-modified digital motor electronics. This revised powerplant is mated to a short-throw six-speed manual transmission that includes a shorter final drive ratio. BMW claims the 330i PP will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.0 seconds, about half a second quicker than a standard 330i. Complementing the upgraded powertrain are a new sport suspension (stiffer than the 330i's standard sport suspension), 18-inch wheels with mixed-size performance tires, an aerodynamic package, black headlight trim, and a new exhaust. Inside, there are cloth-and-Alcantara sport seats, an Alcantara-wrapped sport steering wheel, anthracite headliner, and black cube aluminum trim. Production of the 330i PP will begin in March 2003, priced at just under $40,000, with the first cars arriving at dealers in April."

I would buy the new S60R or even the new Audi S4 before even looking at this 330iPP....

I don't care if it's over priced. I like it (especially in red)
BMW has bumped it up a notch, and that's good. Any kind of improvements in any car usually will provoke improvements in the competitors cars.
I think now is a great time to buy cars. There are alot of nice ones out there, and they just seem to get better w/ each model year.

Umm, ok. I'm still trying to figure out how Car and Driver tested their 330ci at 5.8.

Its like bmw and their HP ratings... they are very modest.

40K?? If it does indeed sell at 40K, then I think that is great deal...by BMW standards anyway. You can't touch a 330 around here for less than 40K regardless of what the ads/web site/magazines say. A 330 w/ CL type options runs abour 42K at the dealers around here
