a lot depends on how patient you are. if they(Nissan) only makes 1500 units for 09 model year. yeah probably forget 09 you having one.
you'll probably have a 2010. but i bet by summer 2010's amount will sell out.

Deposit means the moneys gone lol. Thats the hole idea of how that works. A refundable deposit is an oxymoron.

GT-R definitely, plus with the ZR1 your bound to run into some dumb asses who will think its another ZO6 and won't appreciate it completely. . . not that i care what other people think or anything . . . . but GT-R is unique.

not necessarily... when i ordered my Acura I had to put a 1000 dollar deposit which was refundable...

recently I was at a BMW dealership and was talking about a 335i and they said if i were to order it they would want a deposit but it would be refundable if i decided against the car...

if i don't take the car, someone else will scoop it up...

Several times I've had to put down a deposit when car shopping, and the times I decided not to buy the car, I got the deposit back no problem...

I noticed how one member on here said Nissan only plans on making 1500 GT-Rs PER YEAR for the U.S.
is it me or does that number seem low. I know they can't flood the market otherwise dealers won't get stupid amounts over sticker PLUS everyone and their cousin will have em(kind of like Honda Accords)(no offense to Accord owners but there are a ton out there). comments?
thanks.

ZR1.....

When the performance numbers come out, it will shut the import fanboys up. The car looks dead sexy too.

You do understand that the ZR1 has a supercharger from the factory with a built motor???

From what I've read of the GTR, the ZR1 will be much easier to mod. A simple pulley swap, tune, and headers should really wake the car up (not that it needs it)!

The only thing close is the Viper. Nothing else sold in the US off the showroom can match it for the price.

no european supercars for $100k? i admit japanese automakers don't have high powered super cars from factory, but they have alot stricter emissons laws then us and most of their aftermarket high hp cars are no where close to street legal.

And the most important thing.... the GT-R is missing a manual tranny. If I wanted the car to shift on its own I'd get an auto. Plus there's something not right about a car that looks almost good only in certain colors. I'd rather have an R34 GT-R rather than a C5 Z06 though.

Ummm...where did you read that?

Based on pretty much everything I've seen, a turbocharger is MUCH easier to mod and extract additional power than a supercharger.

EVO magazine (England). Apparently Nissan has engineered a number of parameters into the engine management software that will prevent even slight modifications to the ECU and corresponding sensors. Not good news for the tuning crowd.

i haven't heard the new Vette ZR-1 exhaust, however some member put up of a GT-R zipping around some track. That exhaust note is to DIE FOR stock from the factory.
