Herb Chambers has never owned a F1 LM. Nor has Will Turner.
The only reason people believe Turner owned it is because it was frequently seen at the shop on the showroom floor. But, in fact, Frank raced for Turner Motorsports, thus, the LM3 & #007 were frequently seen at the shop on display.
There is an entire thread on automotiveforums started by Frank detailing his ownership with LM3 & #007 as well as his relationship with Turner. Frank never announced that he sold the LM; he actually said he would never sell it. But, it was discovered in 2005 that LM3 had been in a small wreck by Lauren due to the brakes being fresh, which would make sense as new F1 owners are typically given new parts when they take delivery.
And as evident by Lauren's collection when it was touring, LM3 was soon spotted in the Boston Museum & last year, in Paris with a handful of other rare exotics owned by Ralph.

They look like they're going to have an amazing line-up this year. Please post if the event has any restrictions as well. They're coming to Dallas & I would definitely like to go downtown to see the cars lined up if they're open to the public.

subinf the theme car was done for last year's GoldRush Rally, incidentally it won best of show for the wrap. It's the graphics from Smokey and the Bandit.

you should! we don't get this kind of thing coming our way too often, it usually stays around East or West coast. In fact, this is the first time one of these new generation rallies is coming through Chicago!

we had a nice little run and from a dig he smashed me...i had a lot of wheel spin on my shitty fuzion winter tires....from a 30-80mph run, he still killed me but i was on his ass....
we came to a stop sign where he was going straight and i had to make a right, i rolled my window down in 20 deg weather and gave him a thumbsup...the guy (mid 60's), rolled his window down as well...nodded and acknowledged and then took off chirping 1st and 2nd....
its funny coz I have raced a Camaro SS before (from a roll) and a S5 (again from a roll) and beaten both the cars....this Audi, puts the power down so much better....
