Neighbor just got an 11'. Nothing too special about the exterior. Not ugly but it doesn't blow me away. The interior on the other hand was very impressive. No cheapness to be seen anywhere and everything felt and looked great. Especially the gauge cluster. I was somewhat surprised by all the electronic gizmo's and screen they stuck in there.

yeah, the exterior design isn't far from 1st gen... I'm diggin' the LED lights tho... and those "gizmo's" you speak of would be the Ford "Sync" multimedia system.

I general agree with the list.

Acura is misfiring on all cylinders these days... sigh

Toyota makes some great engines, but they should change their mantra to 'In Constant Pursuit of Perfect Blandness.'

Ford would probably be near or at the top of my list. Volvo would be high up there too. To me Acura/Lexus/Infiniti dont even come close to Jag/BMW/Merc and Audi.

I would agree with that general comparison between Japanese and European, but I really like some of the designs coming from Infiniti(maybe that explains why I recently bought one). I've liked the G series, especially since the latest gen came out in '07. I also think Infiniti's new M series is a great design.

Was your post that necessary, really? This is the closest thing Honda has to a pickup truck, looks wise. I wasn't rating the functionality just looks. Discernment is not a strong suite for you?

Nothing short of fantastic. Classy top-notch interior....with cutting edge tech.

If it matters, the Tacoma looks way better than the Ridgeline plus those two are much more comparable than comparing a midsize truck to a fullsize truck.

The new Lexus SUV's are truly some of the ugliest cars out there... I really like the new MDX, and looking at that and then the RX (which admittedly is the best looking of the Lexus SUV's) just makes the Lexus look even worse.

The previous generation was alright, but the first gen and the newest are just horrendously ugly.

I've never been in an Edge but we have a MKX at school and the interior is pretty nice. It's nothing like an Audi but it's nice for what it is.

i agree 100%. yes, art is subjective, but theres logic behind good design. if the reviewer has the credentials, then their comprehension is beyond the 'average joe'. plain and simple. IDK why people are quick to disregard this person and his rankings...that's like a museum spectator thinking they know better than the curator...of course everyone is entitled to their opinion...just sayin'
