To people who lease'd their car (especially BMW)
I have a friend who just leased a BMW 528i two days ago..
And, as a friend(me) who MODssss, wanted to place my hand on her car as well. LoL..
So yea, Question is, what can i do to the car without voiding it's warranty?
I know, its for sure that i can't touch those engine parts.. change rims.. etc.
But, can i just change the license plate bulb to LED only??
Is it going to cause my friend any trouble with her car?
Thanks!!

He did:
CDV mod
Short shifter
M5 alcantara headliner/interior swap
Thinner Euro Dash swap
Euro Armrest
Added audio inputs into stack near armrest for ipod
eyelids
M5 spoiler
back window spoiler
M5 lit shifter
tinted windows
K40 stealth radar
I cant remember what else. I just remember having that car in pieces.
The car was very clean. And he was going to buy it out until it got in an accident. So, once fixed he decided to turn in the lease at the end. No one said anything. Only item he removed was the radar system.
Another friend did similar things with his Honda Odyssey. Only thing he put back was the stock stereo and speakers. No one said anything, the dealer wanted his car. He currently has a Ridgeline and did the same thing.
Personally, I dont get modding a lease. I think its a waste of time and money...BUT they both did and were happy to do it.
Either way, I think it depends on the dealer and the mods. Most dont even know or care.

I don't get modding leased cars either and people that plan to buy out the car have a few years to change their mind...it's very appealing to get a brand new car in 3 years with the same payment...I would just get some wheels; it's something you can take off and sell/use again.

Yes, you can mod whatever you want as long as you return it to stock in the end.
On a lease car, I would at least change the wheels and put the OEMs safely away. Why? Curb rashed wheels are an expensive repair at lease end. So if you have aftermarket wheels on for the term, and then swap the OEMs back on for the inspection, you'll be good to go.
