Oh yeah just saw that this isn't street legal like the Atom, so no small wonder. It weighs less than 800lbs and is just slightly larger than a shifter cart. Looks like it would be a blast on the track.

Motorcycle engine with AWD... interesting.

Starting at under $24k, I wonder what one with all the bells & whistles will run for.

Looks like you can get an assembled version with everything you'd need for $37k. Pricing tops out at $50k.

AWD is a $7,500 option. One box I'd leave unchecked.

Yes. Supposedly that's the 300whp turbo Atom.

200hp motor pushing a 1,000lb car (including a driver and fluids) is ridiculous.

I would kill myself driving that on a track.

Nevertheless....

Holy crap. Being able to go that fast I would want paddle shifters. I would not want to take my hands off of the wheel of that thing.

Fast as hell but ugly as sin. I guess it's a trade off. I'd still take an Atom over it to be able to drive it to and from the track. Plus the Atom is just killer looking.

Just curious can you actually race this thing in any kind of sanctioned event? It's bigger than a shifter cart, yet smaller than anything else on the track.

According to their website, the dp2 and dp3 can be street legal if bought as a kit and assembled by the customer.

dp2

dp3

I like the dp1 which is exclusively a track car. A bit of a fat pig at 850lbs and horribly underpowered by an anemic 3 liter V8 that only makes 500 hp at 10,000 RPM

Lol at 850lbs/500hp being a fat pig.

Wow that's cool.

That track, the ORP, is just 1.5 hrs from my house, in the middle of nowhere.
