You'd think they could salvage the tires or wheels, wipers, etc.

I understand that it's unfortunate, but honestly I don't find it hard to look at when I think of all those people that died. In the end, they're just cars.

Very true Terry.

Cars can always be replaced.

Did this just happen?

This is the 3rd incident for Honda this year, if so...First the Tsunami early this year, then a flood a few months back, and now another flood? Geez!

Note to self - do not buy another Honda product in the near future.

Reminds me of those Mazdas they had to scrap after the ship they were on rolled over and nearly capsized.

well you have to remember that quite a few, if not all of those cars are going hazardous to work on. Mold and other bacteria all probably thriving all over them. It just easier to scrap them and essentially melt everything down and start over again.

Thats true. But wheels and tires I think would be worth their time, 2 minutes to salvage those parts, clean them and sell them cheap.

It had to be a car factory. Why couldn't it be a honda lawnmower and powerwasher factory or something...

I'm curious as to why each and every car has its wiper blades lifted?

I was just there in Thailand...and you'd see cars parked all along the highways...

the airport parking lot was used like a storage space for abandoned cars...the flooding was really bad and affected that country greatly.

I can only imagine they have their completed products (and raw materials, for that matter) insured against losses like this, so I highly doubt this is considered a 100% "loss" to the company's bottom line.
