opinion on 05 s2k.. i m gonna get one..

i am gonna sell my 05 G35C and get a S2k in about 1 week. nothing wrong with the G35 and It is still my #1 favorite car (affordable ones). But i have never had a convertible before so i m gonna lease a S2k for a few years.

anybody know any good dealers or good sales? I know ppl are getting below invoice but i wanna know what is a reasonable price to lease a S2k. 39 month with 0 down.

thanks alot.

Dayum dood, you JUST missed out on this special.

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ht=honda+lease

384 a month
0 down
36months
12Kmiles/year
lease

Maybe if you work it right, you can get the same deal.
I think this one was a honda special deal though!!

Good luck.

Good call on that thread. That guy got a great deal on an awesome car!

The 2005 S2k is a sweet ride. You should get one.

Good luck.

They fixed that with the new one. I drove an 05 (lower revving in comparison) for a few days and I didn't mind the torque at all.

Adding 6% more peak torque doesn't change a vehicle from being 'low torque' to 'torquey'. In fact, the 00-03 (AP1) and 04+ (AP2) S2ks have the same 0-60 and qtr mile times since you can stay in each gear longer in the AP1, which balances out the AP2s torque advantage. Both engines have the high lift cam switchover at 6000rpm, and any Honda enthusiast will tell you 1000 more RPM of VTEC can only be a good thing. At least that will be my justification when I buy an 02 or 03 S2k in a few years. In reality, the lower price versus the AP2 will be the real reason.

Damn, that's sick!

I've always wondered if I should just stick with leasing since I know I'll get bored with my car after 3+ years. With 0 down, I could pick up some nice rims and stuff to put on the car.

I'd trade my high rpms for even a small amount of low end torque. It really is obnoxious having to practically floor it to get off the line.

As an owner of a 2k5 S2k, do not forget the 04-05 model also has bigger wheels and tires, plus more interior room!

Get the car!! They are a blast to drive, I am working on a deal for an 05 possibly an 06 if I can hold out. I was informed yesterday that the 06's will not be out till Dec. or Jan., so I may end up waiting for next spring- who knows, it would be nice to end summer with a bang. But get the car, you'll love it.

im gonna go pick it up tomorrow.
White with tan interior (2 red racing seats are coming in)

as for 9k rpm vs more torque. I could really care less about 1k less rpm. 8k is high enough for me.

and i already know about the torque which i could careless too because my xb has only 100 lb of torque. so 160 is much better.

I recall when I drove a used S2K prior to buying my G35. Jesus, that thing was so much fun. I recall when I went over to my Dad's to show him (dealer just gave me the keys and told me to be back in an hour), he jumped in and wanted to drive. So he puts it in first and says what's the redline?

9K, I said.

He laughed and thought I was full of shit... Until he took it up to 7,900 and wouldn't go any further. "Ok, that's all the proof I needed."

Awesome car. Enjoy it.

Great points about the tips!

Power seats were not an option. I wish they were heated and air conditioned!

if ur lease a 05 then get it before 8/1. Honda special promotion ends by 8/1

if ur credit is good (700+). u can get it as low as 370 a month for 36 month with 0 down ( but u have to pay 1st month payment +dmv fee & registeration up front)

if they dont give u anything below 400 a month.... tell them to fuck off and go to another deal.

If you want to buy, check out carmax. I shopped around private owners for a while, but the damn cars sell quick. No one would bargain, and half the cars in ads were sold when I called. Carmax had the best prices I found.

i would take S2000 over G35 on any given day, it's a true race car

G35 is more like a luxury coupe, right into CLK class

I got one last month. Great car, lots of fun. I got mine for $0 up front and $384/m for 36 months, 12,000 miles/yr. The only add-on I got was wheel locks.

It is a little tight inside, but the handling is super and you appreciate the tight quarters in the twisties. I wish the car had ventilated seats and a little better stereo. The 6MT is absolutely awesome!

Good luck.
