OMFG!! Carrera GT
Allright I decided to stop by the Porsche dealer today during break to visit one of my buddies who works there. He's an avid car nut and auto-x's his S2k often; so we can go hours talking bout stuff. Anyways as soon as I walk in there's a freaking Silver Carrera GT in the showroom; badass!! Then I see a customer ready to buy this baby. At this point, I was in shock; this dude was at most 35 years old. The salesman opens up the door gets in, and guess what??? Starts it!!! OMG am I the luckiest guy in the world. He waits for the car to warm up and proceeds to rev it! Holy shit this thing sounds just like an F1 car. My heart rate jumped twice the normal rate; I was sweating and I started to breath very heavily. I could not believe this; just what are the chances?? My mouth remained open in awe and I was staring at the car for a good 10 mins. Beautiful in every single way! Damn.

Wow, so you'll take an $80,000 Mercedes sedan over a $400,000 Porsche super-car....

I think he did; I overheard him talkin about paying $7500 a month max for it. His two little bratty kids; about 5 and 6 were talkin about how it'll be cool to have this in their mansion. No joke the dude was about 35 years old; that's what I call a balla balla! He did something right! The car befoer taxes was like $483,000.

really? the exclusiveness, the exoticness, the f1-esque tech, midengine, etc., v10.....plain sex. E55 is sexy in its own right but high reving v10 over supercharged v8 anyday of the week for me

It is times like this that I wish I had a camera fone! And for the guy who would prefer an E55; are you on PCP??? There's nothing like a well-engineered naturally aspriated car! The E55 is only good in the straights; whereas a car like this with modern technology is a track car made for the streets with creature comforts! My only gripe; yeah you guessed it, is the astounding price. You gotta pay to play witht the big boys!

It was grey...just like this photo with yellow calipars. The day I saw it was raining.
I recognized it the minute I saw the talilights from like 1000 meters away in heavy traffic..

My thoughts, if it takes a Carrera GT to get a certain girl, just says enough about the girl.
Ariel Atom 2 is my favorite track car ever. In a dream land, I'll take the $440k, spend 40k on the Ariel, $55k on an M45, $80k on a Cayenne, $180k on an F430, and $85k on an M5.
Of course, my wife can drive her Accord anytime

The Carrera GT looks good in red too...

What confuses me is that the red one is in Leno's spot, but he's been photographed driving a silver one... maybe he owns 2 of 'em

Oh, and he picked up a new Ford GT40 around the same time... must be nice

hmmm... as much as I like the Carrera GT, I couldn't see spending that $$ on it... that or the SLR I like so much...
with that money I could have a few other cars...or one for every day of the week at least

That car was borrowed from PCNA. It was a press car. Check out the license plate on the red car in the July issue of Road & Track. It is not a US-spec version either.
