You just can't leave the BMW family.

They always come back

Looks like an 02/03, 330 perhaps?

Very nice. I like those wheels. They are very uncommon.

My only gripe with the pre-04 coupes is they need a 6th gear.

Haha, that's fine, everything has it's price. It's not my first BMW, and it will be easier to maintain than the first one.

Thanks, the car is in great shape. Only reason why he's selling it is because he's buying a 335i. I bought it from a private seller.

E46 is a solid car though and reliable in my book. I still follow E46fanatics.com.

And those who care about JD power charts, BMW is ranked pretty high on them now.

Yeah, after I actually purchased the car, I checked out bimmerforums just to get an idea what could go wrong, and it looks like the auto trannys are almost as bad as the ones in the 2nd gen Acuras.

mmm...true and not true...they did have their fair share of problems but i've never known or heard of anyone having to go through several transmissions in their time of owning them like people with CL/TL did. there are so many great things to say for the 3-series coupe though whether it be the handling, the ride, the seats, the amazingly smooth engine. it doesn't matter if it's the new 335i coupe or the old 323ic, they're just great cars all around.

$22,500. I was looking around on autotrader, and that's the best deal I could find with that many miles and the options that I wanted.

Lovely.

BMW and Lexus are as different as 'love' and 'respect'.

my wife's looking at either a 328xi coupe or sedan-doesn't know which one but I'm sure she'll get one this spring. she'd rather have a 335xi but they don't make one (yet).

Very nice! I just sold an '02 325ci for $16,300 with 43,500 miles. It wasn't too loaded, but it had sport/auto/heated seats, Black/Black Leatherette. I took it in as a trade from a customer who got the new 328xi coupe. I did have to spend a couple bucks to condition it a bit, but overall it was a real nice car! The only thing that drove me nuts was the heated seats, they got SCORCHING hot no matter how high or low the setting was on. I think it might be something with the thermostat setting of the heated seats, but I've never experienced anything like that before. My wife's BMW the seats get pretty hot, but not like that car. I could be wearing a wool coat and I felt the heat stinging my skin!

that sa great price for the lexus... as for the bimmer.. thats crap.. nothing compared to the ride that u have right now.. .if u want something really nice, go for the m3. a used 02/03 m3 is around ~35K ..

ur gs is pure luxury + lots of gadgets and features that "lil" 330 doesn't have.... not to mention power... i guess u just want to save gas huh.... its all good... i would've bought that lexus if u were in canada.. sigh..

You know that's funny. I was driving the 3er the last couple of days, and got back into the Lexus (L-tuned suspension btw) to go to the grocery store (how ironic) and the ride was not comparable. The BMW puts a smile on your face, the Lexus feels like just another luxury car. The GS has every option except for navi, and there is nothing the BMW doesn't have that the Lexus does.

The only plus side that the GS does have for some people is more room and a softer suspension, which I don't really need right now. Also, it does have softer seats, but the BMW seats hug you and you don't feel lost in the car.

I didn't have that much time to drive it because it snowed here pretty bad and the previous owner put wider sport tires 5000 miles ago, so it's not that great in the snow.

I've owned 4 cars in the last 4 years, and as far as overall quality and fun, it would have to be

1. 330Ci
2. 540i = GS
4. Acura CL-S

I forgot to mention this. They are not far off powerwise. Yes, the GS has more "power", but it needs much more power to make up for the slushbox and all that weight. They are not that far off in straight line peformance, but the BMW will dust it in any other performance category.

I used to love the GS400. The styling on the GS series was unique.
