Seing as none of you actually own a 1g cl, your not exposed to the same cars over and over again with the same mods. we tend to encourage different and ballsy moves to change the pace of things. seeing as we have very little aftermarket for our cars, custom work is a must in most cases; and i applaud him for taking the time to do something different that stands out.

knock yourselves out.

You DO realize that "Ramblings" is practically a different site from the rest, right?

Customization is fine, regardless of the car. But sometimes:

He's got the special satellite radio that requires 20 antennas.

In other news, I saw this in the streets of DC over the weekend. The spare doesn't match the installed wheels. Also, the spare had a Harley Davidson-like logo on the center cap (but not the real logo).

Being different or custom doesn't justify being ugly

I guess this counts as WTF...I ran into the guy that did the custom work, he was having the truck detailed before delivery. He said this isn't his personal style, but when a customer asks for something he gets it done and done well. He had to open up the wheel wells to fit the wheels (depth, width and height) and then color match the paint back, he also made sure it was stock ride height after it was all done, so custom suspension as well...still pretty WTF though...

My appologies for the crappy cell phone pics
Oh yeah, the wheels are 30s!

There's quite a few G-units out there who like to look like the GTR. I have no idea why. More of a head shake thing than WTF, but perhaps that's just me.

Why convert the good-looking G35 Coupe front end to the ugly GT-R snout thing?

It looks like a cross bred 3 series & ford focus hatch with added fugliness to top it off.. the coupe isn't as fugly but not much of an improvement.

@ your "justification"...brilliant..so does a 20lb big wing on a corolla...but

Your real reason is stated as the latter, and really, that's all that matters.

we dont need to own a 1g cl to have on opinion on if its aesthetically pleasing or not. in the majority of our opinions, both cars are terribly ugly. get over it. and youre not shaving ANYTHING off of your 1/4mile with those fins, and even if it made the most minimal difference, the weight of the fins will slow it right back down. Seeing as to how the fins add next to nothing to the overall weight of the vehicle, you can see the point im trying to make.

The CL was never sold here. The Accord coupe was, as was the Legend coupe, but no Cl. And if told otherwise, they don't live here.

That 318ti looks like an EK from the fenders backwards, then it all goes horribly wrong in the rear. Sorry but I've never really liked any BMW hatchbacks, and that includes the 1-series, 318ti, Z-coupes, and X6.
