Considering the neighborhood(s) he was headed toward, you're probably right.

It's dumb to do that, especially in a Huracan (Spider no less). However once you're in the water you gotta keep moving, so good on the driver for not stopping. Be looking for this car on the used market soon.

Seems pretty well done.
Flying Tiger Tribute Car. AirForce Academy next then a future fighter pilot. Wonder if there are .50's under the small raised sections on the hood front?

Except in that case, the Miata is the slow car.
I imagine whatever performance the NA had was lost with the lift & those big tires.

Well, stock NA Miatas are slow, but my son's Flyin' Miata tweaked NA Miata was quite a rock star.

And then there's the NA Miata in my neighborhood with a Chevy LS motor in it.

Not really WTF, looks pretty well executed.
I can't recall the name, but there were some really nice kits for NAs around the early to mid 00s, but they were $$$.

is there a word for hating something so much you start to like it?

Because that's what I feel about that thing.

I'd straight pipe it with a titanium exhaust so it was raspy as hell and then drive around at 10/10ths all the time.

Well at least it started life as a Merc.
I just noticed that it's parked in front of a Dollar Tree. The owner must be shopping for new parts.

The front & rear aren't that poorly done. It's the way that they sealed off the back doors that just looks bad.
The same, done on a CLK, would possibly look passable.

If you're going to lift an SLK, you gotta do it this way. IIRC, this is grafted onto a SWD G-wagen chassis.

The side dump made me think, "hmm looks almost like a cobra-kit". And then it was. Which makes it a little bit more WTF.
