That's much improved but still a bit overstyled. Though with a drop and the right wheels it could be a good option. Especially as AWD, provided no CVT.

With the way BMW is whoring out their cars in the US. I would be surprised if we dont get it here.

I would not even be surprised if there is M3GT

I'd have it in that color with a 6MT & be more than happy enough.

I'll admit to having a bad experience with Mazda...but, they do make nice-looking vehicles. Here's the AU-spec version:

My '08 Mazda3 had an issue too. But my previous 3 and Speed3 didn't have any problems. I think I just got a bad car. My brother likes the Mazda CX7 they have too.

Yep...I think the original batch of Mazda3s were all derived with the same QC flaws as the Protege?

Dunno. Just hope they are better for all.

At least I don't see any of the new models sporting rusted out quarter-panels.

Good thing I live in California

Seriously though, the 6 just looks so good. Truth be told after much deliberation it doesn't really fit the mold of what I'm looking for in my next car, it just looks so good that I can't deny it.

What I want is a 6MT Wagon that has some grunt to it and looks good. For about $35K.

Right now, I have to go up to $43k for an Allroad to get 2/3 of what I want.

The Jetta Sportwagen really is the only alternative at $30K for a 6MT diesel. But it's getting long in the tooth.

It's sad that I think the next Golfwagen is going to be the only thing under $40k new that meets my criteria.

Not a slight against you or anyone else in particular, but I've noticed as I get older, I also get pickier. I can definitely relate. I suppose that's natural as your spending power increases... you want to get the most out of your money.

Though damn if it doesn't make car shopping a pain in the ass.

It does. It's a good problem to have of course. But it also makes me have to compromise and I end up not getting what I want because of some tradeoff I have to make. Usually the limiting factor is money

Nothing official that I've seen. Only that the wagon isn't US available, because they think no one will buy it

Which is why I'm patiently waiting for the 3s 5Door with a 6MT.

It would be like Volvo making a Miata.
