Official BMW E90 (new 3 series) photos -- LEAKED

These came from a printer who's doing the sales brochures for the new 3er:

Nice Find Dan, very Nice find. I guess the early bird gets the worm.

I like, I like alot actually. Not as nice as the previous 3 series and the int is a copy of the 5's which isn't good but the overall look is pretty nice, not totally bangled.

The only problem I see is that I want one. :P

I think the next M3 will be killer now that we know what the regular E90 is going to look like.

Sad what they did to the 3. THe E36 and E46 are perfection. This is not even close inside or out.

I don't think so, you're being a bit too biased on the old models.

This new e90 looks very nice, both inside and outside. I'm quite impressed.

I wonder how many of these will be ordered with I drive?

Even the 325 with 215 HP might be a worthwhile car.

Most of the info so far is for the European model - it could be that higher end models, like the 330 might come with I drive in the US - where the package deal is king.

The pics show the center stack with and w/out the screen - if you get the screen (with or without NAV) you get Idrive.

Looks pretty good to me and I'm not really a fan of BMW styling (Bangled or otherwise). The tail lights seem a bit weak - like they were borrowed from a Hyundai. Otherwise, very nice. Interior not as sleek as the TSX, IMO.

That's a lot of wood for an entry level car's interior...BMW is really raising the bar. The taillights are really ugly, and the interior does look dated, but overall it's a beautiful car.

Please plug the leak back up.
Not awful but not too attractive either. The current 3-series design is far more cohesive.

Wow. I'm surprised that I actually like the exterior (except for the wheels--I hope the sport package wheels look better). Good choice on scrapping the X3-like taillights. The interior however..... is crap (for the same reason the 5 and 7 series interiors are).

Not sure I dig the scar, but otherwise it looks pretty nice.

So is this a bangle design?

Most definitely.

But I'm sure they can't wait to get an even-more-toned-down SMG in there, too.

As a whole, lovely car. The tailights should grow on me, and the interior instrument panel is a tad too conservative, but nevertheless, it's nice.

So is this a bangle design?
You dont recognize the Banglebutt and Banglebrows? This would seem to be the best Bangle yet. The butt is less j load than the 5 and 7. I like the brows (on the headlights).

I don't even like BMW's. I grudgingly respect them. If that thing has decent interior room, me likey!

Edit: Ewww but it does have some of the pregnant-cat lower doorline previously reported and done to excess on the 1 and 2. Is that Bangle or Van Hooydonk. Is a ridiculous surname a requirement for BMW design head?

That looks sweet. Kind of the best of the new 5 and old 3.

Tdot, who wonders how much trade in value the TSX has.

I was afraid to look, but overall I'd say the best design of a Bangled beemer. Say what you want about the taillights - but at least they retain some of the old charm, unlike the hideous 5 and 7 rears. Front looks like the new Audi, which I personally like, but I think it's too big on the 3, makes it look a bit disproportionate. Interior looks good though.
My next car will probably be an M3, and as that won't be for some time, I am glad to see the 3-series isn't completely uglified.

I like it; the interior is sweet. But I'm not a big fan of its ass. Maybe it'll grow on me. The curved taillights don't do it for me. I definitely like harder lines on the car.

I think it looks damn good. To nitpick I think the form of the trunk lid and rear are a little too oval looking and the dash, particularly center console and in front of the passanger is to linear looking. But, that's just nitpicking. Overall a very very nice looking automobile.

Bangled interiors are terrible. I can just barely deal with Bangled exteriors, now, but the interiors are just downright cheap.

This new design will take the least amount of time to grow on me. It's actually somewhat appealing on the outside.

But let's face it...Bangle builds an EXCELLENT controversial car...but only a mediocre conservative car. Props to him for trying, though....

IIRC, the early designs were all Bangle's. (The headlight eyelids were more pronounced and had upturned outer corners.) Then higher management stepped in and tried to perform some deBangling. IMHO the result is, as captainjack says, not as cohesive as the current 3-series.

This is another wasted opportunity for BMW. I have no doubt the car will sell, but now I will laugh at the owners just a little bit more. Does it look like a Jag X-Type/S-Type to anyone else here? What's the big deal about the interior anyway? It's not bad looking, but for $35K-$40K it better look nice. Does anyone here really think it's nicer than a TL interior (real wood is very nice tho)?

I do see a little jag in that style especially the rear quarter. The interior is nice and I think it's good that they've made the back seat bigger. The TL's interior is excellent but this is a close second.

The thing is the 3 series can come in such great varieties you can't make too many generalities. You can have a stripped 325 for like 27K up to a well optioned 330 for 40K+ and while the same 3 series they would be almost two different cars.

Is there any other information on this car? Engine options, engine outputs, etc...? I like it, and it's going on "my next car" list. So far, I have Subaru Legacy 2.5GT Ltd. on the list.

The bigger question is whats under the hood and how will it drive. The 3 series has always been the benchmark sports sedan (no offense to honda, or infinit, or audi, or anyone else) The competition right now is very stiff and there will be some high expectations for this car. Will it still be the benchmark?

There's no doubt this will sell in record numbers. I guarantee the new 3-Series will continue to be the benchmark...even the current version continues to remain the benchmark.
