S5 looks hot, def better than an M3. But if someone told me I could have one, money not being an issue, still think I go with an M3.

but the way the interior looks I think and alot of people would agree that its far below there exterior design. For me a car design must be stunning both in the exterior and interior...
Your kidding right? Their interiors are second to none. They are always praised for their excellent interiors.

Just look at that head light.

There are more design cues in there than on both of my cars; combined.

Those LED's too God those are hot...

The only thing missing here is the flat bottomed steering wheel. Sat is one not long ago and just marveled at the way it all fit together so well.. I can't think of a better designed space.

Man... I feel weird because I think I am the only one that doesn't love it. I don't know. I saw the first few pics and thought "that looks...alright?". I'd like to love it; everyone SEEMS to, but I just don't. Something about the curved line down the side doesn't look right to me. It's attractive, and at the price point is is definitely a looker but I just am not as enthusiastic as most people seem to be.

I love the interior and find it very fitting for such a car. The gauges are SICK. I do think the interior can be improved though - if I had to nitpick it, I might have styled the large center console vents differently. But compared to many cars out there, I think it's considerably nicer and I do think it's appropriate for this car.

ps. if there is an RS5, I would guess it would have the flat-bottom steering wheel..

i'll admit it looks better than the 3 series coupe but this leg humping is ridiculous. i just don't see what's so great about this design. it just doesn't look THAT good...

You've got to be kidding me. There nothing in the interior that says its anywhere near as stylish, sophicated nor stunning as the exterior. When and if its come to a dealer near you, don't even go for a test drive, just sit in one for a while and lets us know what you think....

There was an S5 at the Audi dealer when we picked up our S6. Would have taken that one if 4 doors wasn't important.

Look much better in person. And the interiors are great.

^^ gotta agree, sat in one and just wasn't feeling it. i still lust after the nsx/300z interior. audi is known for great interiors but this just isn't as good as it could be.

For some reason after checking out this thread I'm liking the GT-R less and less.

The charcoal grey w/ red seats is teh sex. And I agree with who ever said the design is the most organic out of the Audi line up. I tend to think of Audi's as a little too VW bubbly looking but the S5 makes me forget all about that.

My one word to describe it's styling: Timeless.

the car is really hot, but after seeing on up close in person the other day the car is kinda chunky. the M3 looks much sportier/agile to me. the rear end on the audi is just really large, when you see one in person you will understand what im talking about.

sadly, I kinda know what you're talking about. The car does give a "chunky" impression. And, I retract my statement about the M3... I would take an M3 over an S5, maybe even RS5. M3 is much more agile car, S5 is a sports/GT almost touring car.

however, the M3 interior sucks compared to S5.. imo

Damn the S5 in white looks smoking hot. The interior doesnt wow me or anything. Let me look at it in person before choosing between this or the M3.

what is that? A 5" lip on the rear wheels (black)?

I saw one the other day around dusk... and I just knew what it was upon it's approach, simply from the lights... fucking awesome.

I believe it starts at around $50K. Add options and you're looking at close to $60K.

And I'd take this over an M3 any day. The S5 is just sexier.

If you don't need the V8, the A5 S-Line is a good alternative for a bit less money. The A5 3.0TDi is gonna be even quicker and will probably slot in between the two.

S5 = my favorite car at the moment.

i've started seeing more of these on the road. i've seen dark grey, black, and white. they are just as beautiful on the road as in pictures.

i dunno what i'd do if i had a choice between the M3 and S5. the S5 may be underpowered compared to the M3, but the interior is not even a competition.

speaking of the interior, i've never been a fan of audi interiors. i thought they were overrated and weren't pleasing to my eye. i always preferred the japanese style interiors like in the TL, new infinitis, etc.

but the S5's interior is just hawt. it has really grown on me, and i think it really suits the car well.

and +1 for needing to make more money...
