I have owned both cars. In my experience, the TL gets about 2-3 more miles per gallon in 75% city and 25% highway.

I don't know if anybody has seen the pictures of the interior and exterior of the '05 G35. I have and I think that the new interior actually looks worse for the '05 model. Additionally, the exterior changes to the hood and front also look worse. Now, the M45 is a head turner and looks better than the RL.

Look bub, clearly you are looking for an agrument. Tell the bean counters that they used a hood prop cause it's better than a gas prop. It's to SAVE MONEY.

If you LOOK at most ALL CARS UNDER 30K they have a cheap hood prop. Most ALL CARS OVER 30k HAVE a Gas Struts. That is a FACT. Jeez.

So Audi hoods don't use Gas Struts? The Jag XJR is all Aluminum. It has gas Struts for the hood as well.

The G35 is a great car period. But the FACT is Nissan cut it's usual corners to make it as profitable as possible. Why do you think the G35 starts at 28k compared to the ES and TL that starts at 32k?

I agree, the TL "haven't" more plastic than the G35.

Except that he, too, is correct in that the hood on the G35 is so light (alum) that gas struts would not work properly on it. After owning the CL-S, I was incredibly surprised lifting the hood on the G for the first time the day I test drove it, and to this day I often don't get it to latch on my first attempt to close it because I'm used to the 50+lb monster hood from my CL-S and the heavy one from my winter beater from last fall, either of which can be released maybe 6" up and they will close fully. This lightern weight one has to be released higher to get it to generate enough momentum to close.

why do you insist on trolling around other peoples forums. At least i've owned a few acura's along the line. You have no purpose for being here except to start arguments

Lets not go there guys. This is a public forum and everyone has a right here until the policies change. I think this is a great board and if they start moderating heavily, then it will lose part of its appeal. I think everyone here has interesting viewpoints and this board isn't as heavily biased (brainwashed) as other boards :cough: lexus boards :cough:...

FYI, the Honda Accord has gas strut props for its hood, and it's not a luxury vehicle.

Lol, wrong. Look at that pic more closely (or change to a pic that doesn't clearly show a hood prop rod.) =P

:imwithstupid:

It's the V6 Accords that have gas struts for the hood.

You're right...BRB, finding a pic of V6 Accord hood.

Can't edit previous post to change pic. But here's a right pic:

My 4th gen Maxima had them and it didn't even have leather seats

Hood Struts do not necessarily = luxury.

RWD/AWD = Luxury j/k

1SICKLEX...... shouldn't you be spending alittle more time on your website? Especially sense it's primetime for web traffic and you only have maybe 10 people on it? Trying to bring Acura members to your website is not going to work....(try something new) And how did Acura members put up with you for the last 4 or 5 years.

Dude, really

That site with only "10" people made history at the NOPI Nationals with 20 trophies and wins just last month...

What was the history? (double digits) Sense you did so well, what did your car win? I'm sure you have lots of pics from the NOPI nationals. (sense you made history) Would love to see pics of all those trophies. Of course pics of your car sense you really know how to build one. And all those trophies and probably none for you, or a Lexus.

Absolutely no comparison. My TL gets 5mpg better than my G35 did in every kind of driving. I was getting 19-20 in my G on my regular work routine. I get 24 - 25 in the TL. I get 31 - 32 on the freeway in the TL. I didn't do any trips that I remember in the G35 to get a good comparison, but I honestly don't think that car could have gotten more than 25 if it was driven off a cliff in neutral. Mind you, I had 26,000 miles on it when I got rid of it.

Sigh, I can't believe I am going to respond to you failed abortions. That is why you guys get no pussy, are probably barely making ends meet and have to pose in your Acuras. Take my man Ward. Great car, 04 TL. What does he do? To make it look like a BMW or a more expensive car, he throws 20s that can't fit on it, then for kicks, gives it a staggered setup on a FWD car. That is the gheyest shit you could possibly do. Your mother wants to kill you and piss on your grave.
Then u have 03TL-S. Probably on his 12th tranny. Between him dropping his step-dad to work to borrow the car and him acting like its his, the car won't make it. This is a guy who most likely, spanks his fucking monkey 4 times a day. He beats it like it owes him money.

Both of you clowns don't have 10% of the automotive knowledge as myself. You guys go to your friends house, read his Car and Driver, read a couple threads here and think u know a thing or 2.

Ya'll don't know shit. God himself mourned when that spem hit the unlucky egg and created you 2 wastes of cells and DNA strands. So please go bark up another tree.

If your mothers weren't whores (not post whores, but real whores just like your grandmothers) and had any idea who your father was, I could somehow trace the monkeys or camels u 2 queers came from........
U fucking beastiality bastards.......

GAME OVER!
