WOW, I'm in the market for an 07-08 southern state WDP car, unfortunately, I would prefer a Non Type S model. Yours, from what I can see, is really a great looking car. My niece bought an identical 530i, XDrive, and she loves it. Her last four cars, were BMWs, and she says this one, is the cream of the crop. First I ever heard of Speed limit, sign recognition. ENJOY

Nice to hear good reviews.
Frank, any particular reason you're looking for non-Type S? This one is in pretty good condition (interior is solid; exterior has a couple of minor dings), pretty low miles (~107k), maint records, and I'm taking it in for Timing Belt then putting new brakes on it before I list it. If you change your mind, PM me and/or keep an eye on the Black Market posts.

Hey Bearcat94, Actually, I would much prefer the Type S, love everything about it, especially the TRIM. I currently own an 03 TLS. My main issue, is, premium fuel. I really don't need, the extra performance, offered by the S model, and my finances are such, that I have to economize, where I can. Your car, with such low mileage, timing belt service done, etc. represents exactly the type car, I'm looking for. I will watch for your Black Market Post. Finding a car like yours, is no easy task. I certainly will reconsider my position on the S model, just because of your description, of the car. Thanks
Like wackjum said, both the 3.2L in the standard TL and 3.5L in the Type-S indicate premium fuel be used. You might see a slight mileage decrease with the Type-S but not enough to be significant.
This sheds a whole new light, on my needs. I was under the False impression, that the Base model, operated on regular. I will look into this, and if indeed, premium is required, in all models, I will have to adjust my budget elsewhere, to accommodate the extra operating cost. Actually, it's kind of good news, as I really prefer the Type S

Definitely requires Premium on all versions of the 3G TL.
The Bimmer is pretty cool. Packed with technology stuff. Outside temp readout? Sure, plus the weather for the next 4-days.
The iDrive system seems pretty cool too.
Oh .... and 20GB for MP3 storage.
By the way, how IS the iDrive on this one? I've messed around with the F10 iDrive, and the original iDrive (what a nightmare that was)... I'm curious to see if they made it better?

I like it. It's well organized and easy to use.
There are a LOT of options/customization stuff, so you don't necessarily want to go digging through menus looking for the ambient lighting color while your on the Atlanta Autobahn at rush hour, but for switching your media source, or getting to the Nav screen, etc. it's very effective.
The other thing that's useful is that for common functions .... taking a call, choosing a radio station, etc., there are often 2 or 3 different ways to access a function, so you can use whatever's convenient.

iDrive 6.0... actually even idrive 5.0 is the best on the market... It took them a long long time to get it right tho...
I'd keep it, personally. Its super convenient to have a second car and I plan on keeping my Genny when I (finally) get a new car next year. That TL-S looks like its in superb condition...

Agree on the second car, but I already have one (my work car).
Wow, congrats on the new bimmer and very sad to see another OG move on from the 3G TL...and a 1 owner nonetheless. Always a gem to see a senior member's car being put up for sale because you KNOW it is likely well cared for.
If only I wasn't stuck out here in the pacific ocean until next year (on a daily rental car)....I'd be seriously looking to upgrade from my 06 TL (currently just sitting) to a 07/08 TL-S. Best of luck with the sale and I hope it goes to a good home.

Agreed. Plus, you can use it to make runs to the BMW dealership to pick up all those crappy plastic parts that will inevitably fail. Valve covers, boost lines, charge pipe, diverter valves, water pump (body and impellers ), themostat housing, intake manifold, list goes on and on.
Not a hater. I plan on owning a BMW someday. Though I'll probably upgrade all those plastic parts with aftermarket aluminum, which is available, especially for many of the turbo components and the water pump. Unless BMW learns how to use proper plastic composites that aren't so prone to warping and cracking.
That thing is a beauty for sure! I'm definitely jealous AF right now!
I do wish BMW would STAHP with the metal-gill-things behind the front wheels though (I have the same problem with the 440i too)! I hate it when any car has to draw attention to those vents, as if we might miss them if they weren't sticking out like a sore thumb. Message to all car manufacturers; if you have to put a vent there just make it body colored please! The proper way to do it is the 3rd gen RX-7. but that's obviously just my opinion so I'll stop mindlessly ranting now.
The "proper" way to do one of these frontal side vents (IMO):
We just got a 2015 X5 35i darn near close to fully loaded last May - it's our first BMW experience and so far so good. A day doesn't go by when it doesn't prove it's worth - whether its the comfort, capabilities or the safety features. We've only owned Acura SUVs for the past 10 years so it took some time to figure out how BMW did things with the layout and controls. But every day we're glad we have it.
