This is complete idiocy here, I'm sorry. There's no "wet dream" about it. Go ahead, read my post. I laid it all out for you with numbers and sources. Who ever said anything about leasing? Again, and I'll try to type this very s-l-o-w-l-y so even you can comprehend: Comparable 2003 cars (G35 and 330Ci) now have roughly the same value after 5 years even though the BMW cost at least $8k more when new. That is what you call superior resale value. Period.

I took 5 minutes to compile on Autotrader the average price of 5 top 330Ci 2003 under 75K vs G35c. It came out at 30100$ vs 25076$ (excluding the first one at 39K$).

On what planet are you living? You are just WRONG.

But hey if you are looking for silly argument like this to get that Infiniti crap, go for it.

the infiniti is definately NOT crap! C'mon. I know you guys are trying to prove points here but...
Anyways, the resale value of the G35's will not hold up as well as the 330's now that the new bodystyle here.
Infiniti definately fell short of what they could have done...for whatever reasons they chose. It was not because they couldn't. I personally thought the price difference was worth it (and I am a cheap bastard when it comes to these things!). You want to be in a luxury/ sporty coupe with some balls. When the competition is has moved ahead light years compared to the previous generation you need to keep pace...if not exceed them. The g37 is a nice evolution but definately not where it needed to be IMO. I am pretty sure sales figures will back that up....can someone look up that stuff?

as an aside....

I was willing to let everything slide, as far as my opinions on the interior/space etc until I drove the car and the was a coplete lack of "oomph-ness". That killed it. I still remember thinking to myself "as long as its got some balls the interior is resonable, love the electronics, navi, etc. it is the better car to buy" "it makes more sense"

When i drove it the first time, mashed on the gas and nothing happended...i attributed it o it being a brand new piece. So i went to another dealership and tried again. Then I went back to the first dealership and tried again. Nothing....no power (when compared to 335) 6speed, auto. I was really disappointed. That took out the g37 at that point.

Ok, im done.

BTW, the car will not dissapoint. If that is what you like buy it. It depends what you are looking for/ what floats your boat. It is still the better looking of the two IMO.

No oomph? It has 330hp supposedly. Maybe there's a problem with the throttle firmware or something?

Tried it yesterday, not that it doesn't have oomph, it doesn't feel as fast or faster than the 3. It's possible that it's due to the little torque deficit and weight it has over the 335. It might sound stupid as well, but it could be because bmw's 6spd auto is better geared for acceleration or passing than infiniti's 5spd.

no ooomph down low is true on the G37....especially if u compare it to the 335..335 has a ton of tq down low...G37's power is in the mid to high end

did a comparison on kbb....330 came out to be $25,300 and the G35 came out to be $23,275...difference of only $2k...but there weren't as many options to chose for the G35 (like premium/sport that u can chose for the 330)
330 would be $24,865 if i didnt' add the prem/sport package..which would make the difference of only about 1600

did the same thing with edmunds and got $22,482 for the 330 and $21,180 for the G35

so the difference is more like 1300-2000....not $5k
