to those who don't understand Japanese...
Honda announced on the 12th that it ends production of the sports car "NSX" which collected popularity as a domestic supercar at the end of December. It is a reason that a large amount of expense starts repair the top where the correspondence to the environmental regulation from 2006 a duty of is imposed in the West is difficult in the present model etc. Although development of the sports car which hits a succeeding vehicle is furthered, it is said that it is undecided whether it leaves the name of "NSX." NSX will be put on the market in 1990. Although 6482 sets were sold all over the world in spite of the large sum 10 million yen order in 91 of a peak hour, sale had fallen recently. (Kyodo News) - Renewal of 14:46 on July 12

I thought they had plans to make the NSX a hybrid supercar? Guess not.
After 0 major redesigns in 10+ years you figured it was either due for a huge makeover, or due to end. Maybe they'll develop a new mid engine car.
