No longer a Ford Fan
My father once told me it is chevy well back in his day i tend to agree with hem now being a Capt and all and being shit on by the ford that has made history in needing the most work in 6 mos. I had it a total of 4 days out of 6 mos. it now has 1000 miles on it and lef tme deserted and alone on a back road on a Sar mission. I in fact needed to be rescued that night. Now it sits in a drive way with a brand new moter trasmistion batty starter alternator fuses ect ect the list goes on and on. 90% of which was not covered by the ext. warrenty . I hate it now. We are trying to figure out why we have power to the lights and every thing minus the engine. Nothing yet and i refuse to take it back to the dealer to come out with more probs then it had to begin with. In fact after takeing it in we had evan more than we began with,. I had 2 independant people look at it clear it took it to dealewr and they said this and this is wrong in fact it wasn't. MY DAD DID WARN ME marry a mecanic or a rich man. lol.... I am a firefighter capt and sar owner i'll take it i will be walking till i either get it fixed ond not selling it i sank more than my house payments for the year. So all when ya see the new ford expo or the recalls it sure means don't buy it ., CC

This is not "really" automotive news... Moving to cartalk...
I liked my old 1994 Thunderbird just as much as I like my 03 CLS
I actually had less proiblems with the tbird in 136K miles then I did with the CLS in 22K miles...
If you've had it a total of 4 days out of 6 months, return it under the lemon law you dumb shit... Damn, I hate trolls...

had plenty of fords in the family, most have done us well. Had many BMW's and MBZ's in the family, all have had problems
it's all relative. That said, never buy a used car unless you are buying it from someone you know and trust IMO. You are just buying someone elses problems

If even half of that story is true you qualify for the lemon law in any state and they would have to payback the 10% of repairs you claimed you paid for... But I am calling

I was in a bad mood last night... I usually don't let the internet idiots get to me, but it happens every once and awhile...
I almost closed this thread, but figured we'd have some fun with it

'Big Daddy Diggler'
Had a couple of fords, gms, bmw, benzs, chryslers, dmc, honda and mazda products in my family. The BMW, Benz and my TL with tranny issues gave us the most problems. In fact, the american cars rarely saw a dealership.

My dad had a Ford Taurus, Mercury Sable long time ago, both cars all had the same problems, the stupid AC never work, broke down every summer, and he had to refill the freons every year.
Besides that both cars ran very good though, no other problems at all.

I have an 05 Mustang and it's never had a problem in 19K miles. The only time it's been to the dealer was for 2 free oil changes. Now, my mom owns a RX330 and my dad has a 545i and I can't say the same for either of them. My parents have had many German luxury cars over the last decade and all had their share of problems.
I like my 05 GT and it would be First on Race Day against any 05 production Acura.

LOL well for those of you that haven't figured it out i am a female i come from a long line of raceing and lol was always a chevy fan till i got the ford and of course i happon to own the toyota that goes on and on and on and is at 265 thousand miles and still running. Looks like shit but is the most dependable peice of crap i ever owned i don;t complain it gets this group from place to place and thats what matters. the doors and parts will prob fall off before the engine goes to hell . But hey as someone quoted if i can run with the big dogs then stay on the porch.... if i had my chance i would be sitting on that porch right now but happons i am in a area people can't stay on theirs and get lost 24/7 .... or they light their houses on fire falling asleep with their cigs still on auto pilot . next week we'll be takeing the cars down to the black hills revine and haveing some fun . so if your in the area pop on over and have some fun with us .. Word of caution though if ya don;t have a clear pink slip don't race lol. I just run the pits and see how much trouble i can get in but hey we're all here to help you get stuck or hurt it is up to us to make sure you get home in one peice and your car as well . So thanks for the words about the ford and hell evan on a few others we all know they have some names but it isn;'t the name it is called but who the hell drives it and how much they really put in it and how much they care about it ., But then again who knows.
