no 350Z till next year????

i was out test driving cars with my girlfreind last night and i wanted to stop and the nissan dealer for shits and giggles and see about trading the CL-S for a 350Z...well the dealer i went to was the biggest Nissan dealer in milwaukee and they had none, none on the showroom floor, none on the lot, none for test drive...he said that they wouldnt have any on the lot till next summer!!! and that the only way to get one is to order it....not only that, but if you order it, you wont get it till at the earliest, january.....what a crock of shit..so you cant even test drive a car before you buy it??? what a joke....i was dissapointed...whats up with nissan not supplying demand??? same thing will probably happen with the G35 coupe

Yup.. that's about right.... they are sold out at certain dealers around me too.... it's happened before with cars... look at the New Beetle... same thing.

I'm sure if you really wanted one and put a deposit down.. once it came in you could drive it... and if you didn't want it... you wouldn't have to buy it and you'd get your deposit back. They would just sell it to someone else without a problem...

It just a way to keep the "oooh ahhhh factor" high so they keep selling them!

You know how clubs will keep a huge line outside to make it look like the place is bumping, but then you get inside and it's empty. Same idea. By limiting supply they get to drive up the price, since demand stays high. Really, they are just bastards on the consumer level, but shrewd and cold hearted economists on the business level.

The dealer I went to here in Miami had 3 on the showroom floor, but they were already sold. They said the earliest I could get one was about February 2003. They were sellgin for MSRP. The G35 coupe however only had 4 people in line for it.

Yup, it appears that either Nissan or the dealership is keeping supplies limited for now to maintain the oooh-ahhh factors and pricing.

In Hawaii, there are only 15 Z's assigned for this year! Fortunately, I was able to acquire a Track Model at MSRP without even pre-ordering! Just happened to see one come into the dealership that day off the dock .

G35c will not sell like 350Z. EVERYONE knows what a Z is, the public does not know much about Infiniti nor care. Most buyers will be Nissan owners and when people see the car, it will sway buyers. But the Z is a cult car, an icon. G35 is just another car.

I just saw a new 350Z on the freeway today. Boring silver color. New Jersey plates.

The guy switched lanes in front of me and cut me off (in slow traffic) because he didn't see me as he was talking on his stinkin' cell phone.

The new 350Z doesn't have OnStar?!? A hands free cell phone is my new basic need. I hate when I see people driving poorly because they're fumbling with a handset.

I thought the back end was pretty fugly. The antenna has to go. I didn't like the chrome highlights either.

I still like the looks of the last generation Z. It would have been nice if they could have modernized those without giving the car a boxy plastic look.

Used 350Z for sale at dealership...

I got an idea, drive over to Minneapolis and Morrie's Mazda, I couldn't believe it on the way home last night this white car catches my eye... Could it be, naaahhh, yes it is a White 350Z, and at a Mazda dealer at that!!!

Unfortunately, the dealarship was already closed, but from the window sticker it had 300 miles on it, and it is white with a MT.

I just can't believe somebody traded it in for a MAZDA (Miata maybe???)...

I agree that the back of the Z is bland without the Aero Package, and the Silver color is rather boring as well. Look at this link for a Redline Track Model

Whadda ya think?

Still not my cup of tea, so to speak, but you are correct. Your red one is much more eyeturning then the one I saw today. Nice wheels.
