mine runs 14.3 1/4 mile on 3 bolt-on's.. a CAI, Y Pipe, and Test Pipe (No Cat) ... if an avalon gives you the feeling of a 14.3 1/4 mile.. then yes its drives like an avalon

Okay, I just added up the options to the base price of the SE manual and here's what I come up with.
Base - $25,449
Bose Audio - $1,099 (requires sunroof)
Sunroof - $899
Meridian Edition - $399 (requires sr, bose, s-airbags)
Side Airbags - $249
Leather - $1,499
Navigation - $1,999
Dest. & Handling - $540
Total - $32,133
Sounds nice, but I think I'll take a TL-S instead.

True, so it's still less than a TL-S with navigation AND Nissan will discount it. I went to the Acura dealer and they gave me a discount of only $500 on a TL (not S) that was a demo! You can get a loaded GLE Maxima that stickers at $29,000 for $26,000 flat. Also, some people don't want all that crap on their cars. It's nice to have the choice. A 2002 SE is $25,000 and it includes a HLSD 6 speed, HID, and much standard equipment.

32,223 MSRP is in the area of the TL-S. Non-nav Type-S retails for what 31,680? I bought mine for 29,700 including some dealer options. Paul2kGXE I don't know where you went but in many places (esp SoCal) Acura dealers are dropping prices dramtically (selling at 2-3% over invoice) on the TL-S. Of course Nissan dealerships will lower prices from MSRP but only if you haggle (just like Acura). A fully loaded SE/GLE will probably be right in the price range of a TL-S (thats what Nissan has been aiming for the whole time).
