And don't take this the wrong way cause I'm sure you're normally a pretty smart/decent kid, but you drive a fucking TSX... I see 4 of them in my parking lot of 35 right now. You're not different, you're not special, you're just an 18 yr. old w/ a decent car. At some point, you will get a ding and guess what, I bet she'll still start up for you being the champ that she is...
You are right in the fact that is a TSX, I just happen to pride myself a little more...happen to be a little more anal, and happen to not want door dings and scratches. I'm not saying I'm different in what kind of car I drive, I just think differently about the care of my car, and also its resale value.

I see what you are saying and all...but I'm AM different in that aspect. And you know what?? When/if I get a door ding, I will pay to have that mf'er fixed. I don't care if it takes $300. If it's in consequence for someone's stupidity, I'm file on their insurance....if it's because the a basket rolled all the way down the parking lot and hit my car, I'll file against the store....and of course in other cases, I'll bite the bullet and pay up myself. I care about my car too much.

I would say sorry, but I'm not. That's how I am and always will be.

I'd key it, but not because how it's parked. I'd do it because of the wheels.

Seriously, if you can't afford to stay on top of the door dings, then you can't afford it.

Park smart, and if it still happens, deal.

That's asking to get hit on your part. I'm not saying that if somene did that upfront that it would be right in the first place...but someone WOULD purposely hit your car just for that.

And how exactly would they hit the car? and if they park like that do you honestly think they will hit my truck with their car?? most would laugh at the fact someone did that to the moron that was taking up all the space in the first place. Not to mention i usually sit in the truck till they come out just to get a rise out of them when im 4 inches from their door.

I found a solution

This is too funny.

Check out this website

Why?? Sick of a car taking up two spaces on the street? How about a car too close to yours? What about the car at the mall parked diagonally? Now you can do something about it. Simply download a notice and place it on the car's windshield. The owner of the vehicle will be informed of their asshole status as well as the proper tips to improve their poor parking techniques. It's time to put an end to asshole parking, or at least to make fun of it.

LOL, the site says they don't condone making the notices into stickers to put on assholes' cars; that's the best idea!

how about leaving a note under the wiper saying sorry but I scratched your car trying to squeeze into the spot you parked halfway into, sorry! then sitting back and watching them franticly searching the car for the non existant scratch.

And all this is the reason that I often try and take my battle worn work van to anywhere I may need to park in a lot

Wasn't there a thread on here where somebody posted that on a BMW?

Great idea, especially if you have time to wait for the person's reaction.

No matter where you park, you're still gonna get dinged.

I've actually gotten more dings when my car is way out in the parking lot vs in the crowd. I have no clue why. I didn't double park while my car was out there either. Expect a lot more dents if you're a younger kid driving a flashy car like a PDG CL-S. The biggest dent you see here was received when I loaned my then-16-year-old sister the car one day. I just had to accept it and wait until I have the money to get some PDR done ..

Thank gawd. Those plastic doors required panel gaps as large as the gap on a public bathroom stall's door. You know, so that everyone can see you doing your business.

It's called "a lack of situational awareness" and people like that make me mad.

Like the chef in the Monty Python "sketch about the dirty fork" mad.

I double park in the far back of the lot at work, but I work at a supermarket and get to witness peoples cars getting fucked up by carts, door dings, and hit and runs all the time. I stopped a lady who backed into a honda ridgeline truck and made her wait until the owner came out so he could handle it once, because I was sick of seeing people doing that shit and then trying to act like they didn't realize they hit someone and drive off.

YES. Make sure you put one of the flyers on his car if you see him do it again.

Those flyers are great. I printed a couple up and left my first one on a car the other day. I wish I stayed around to see the owners reaction to it.

I think people were annoyed because they felt it's unnecessary to take up two spots, even from far away... I don't think it's a big deal either... I just think you're gonna piss someone off maybe someone jealous, because it will get attention.... some passer-by on the street might see it and go... "wudda prick, let's go kick a dent in it, just for fun" Or ONE dickhead in a herd of bored out juvies to initiate the idea... and the owner... being so far away... wouldn't get there in time to stop it... you're just asking for it...
