If you can swing it, always go with the Porsche... plenty of people will line up for it and offer you premium for it when you dont want it anymore. Especially if it was gonna be 6mt.. which is what you will get obviously.
Of course, the car is probably the best driving car on your list.

The whole DD thing is pretty much the crux of my dilemma, I don't drive but once or twice every two weeks or so, and when I do, it would be nice to have a destination in mind where I could tow a boat to and/or have a small camper arrangement like the Thule rack tent thing.

May I also suggest - CT4 or CT5 V-Series Blackwing??
I haven't owned a GM car since the late 80's so not sure about reliability, but these two sure pack a punch and are a long way from a Tacoma.

LOL, yeah, being in my mid-60s now I am guessing/hoping I have at least another 25 or so driving years in front of me, I figure if I was to buy the Cayman, I'd own it until I was too decrepit to drive any longer and then my "car-guy" son would be more than happy to inherit it. That's a win; if he doesn't want it, I'm betting by 2047 I'll have no problem selling it for WAY more than I pay for it.

I still dont see Tacoma to be part of that conversation. It is something neither/or.
If i were to tow something, i would probably get a Tundra or a real SUV .
If i wanted a fun car, then Porsche it is. Buy the best Porsche that i could afford and drive it till i dont want it anymore.
