New V6 Camry
New V6 Camry
I just want to say add that the V6 Camry traps 93mph in the 1/4 mile. My bone stock TL trapped 94mph. With that being said the Camry is a quick cars, maybe faster from a dead stop than the TL but from a roll its even. I highly doubt I'd run into a Camry willing to race.

Not sure if the V6 comes with a manual in the Camry. The Accord's manual V6 doesn't have VCM so it will post better times than the auto.

But I don't really see a problem here, the Camry V6 can beat some TL's, but it would also beat E90 330i (14.4@98mph), 328i, 1g G35, 1g IS300, WRX, C350, C300...etc...

I've had the rental Camry on two occasions...a standard LE and a Hybrid.
Both had rubbish interiors (so much for Toyota quality), the LE handled very poorly and lacked in power. It was near impossible to continue at high speeds with out use of cruise control. We were out in the middle of nowhere Kansas, and when you let off the gas at 90 mph, even a little bit, it was like stepping on the brake. The Hybrid still had handling issues (had to slow down on the highway to take a curve), but it was a little quicker. Sounded just like a golf cart.

the thing about the Camry is... it's sooooooooooo plain and bland. I almost would rather have a car that's considered ugly by some... at least it gets attention and people talk about it...
I think the Camry is a great car to commit crimes with tho... because the witnesses won't remember what the suspects drove away with

My company car is a Camry albeit a 4 cylineder and I would buy one for my wife in a heart beat. I drove from Atlanta to Knoxville, Tn and back to the south side of Atlanta on 1 tank of gas (480 miles). When it was time to fill up I had well over a quarter tank. The fill up was about $49 bucks. The ride is very smooth and quiet and the engine is not thrashy like some 4 cylinders.

All camry other than SE trim are boring and bland to drive. The SE version on the other hand is actually way better than Accord.
You can't judge how good camry handles by driving hybrid.

The only Camry I'd ever consider buying is the SE. Best looking/performer by far. The new Accords are
I like the Accord's exterior much much more than the Camry. I just wish it also had projectors, like the Camry. And the rear taillights could extend into the trunk just a little bit. There's too much empty real estate back there.
