I've always been partial to black wheels, but it's quite nice..

I still like the car better than the wheels, though

Thanks, Shoofin. I was really undecided between gloss black and brushed. I bought the wheels used so when I get tired of the black I can send them back to HRE to get stripped and brushed.

I would say brushed would look a little meaner, but the HRE's do look nice. Tint would prob compliment them more, but I could understand not wanting to tint an M3.

Tinted with Huper Optik 30 all the way around. Here is an old pic. The sun was just really bright today.

Very nice car. Very nice wheels. Not crazy about the all black though. Who cares about my opinion when you have an M3, but I would do one of the following if I had those rims on that car:

damn near illegal tint
or white trim around the rim

If I were you I'd tell your wife that the same money that paid for the car and rims is paying for the house, and if it weren't for her sorry ass, I'd've gotten a coupe, so quit whining.

car does look nice though. I especially like the tails. If possible drop the front a tad. I wouldn't touch the rear though, because you're damn near the fender as it is. Measurements?

I actually wanted the sedan, I have always liked the e36 M3 sedan. 255/35/19 front 295/30/19 rear. Goddamn those tires were expensive.

That's ok. I'm still i'm not 100% sold on the black either. My wife said I have taken a really nice car and turned it into a child's car, lulz.

Keep the black and get the face brushed? http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3397/...74869758_o.jpg

Would look nice on a white M3. IMO

Yes, that's also a thought. You put those wheels on sale 3 days after I bought mine.

looking fresh!

I would try a white time attack stripe around the wheel...I think that would really set it off

Not feeling it. Sorry. IMO, I think that black wheels look cool on some white car. And if you had a Civic or a TSX or something like that it would fit. I think your car is more classy and the black wheels on your car makes it look too ricey.

Just my opinion though. It's your car. Do what you like with it.

That's ok. So far it's about 50/50 whether peeps like it or not. I'm not married to them. I'll prolly run them in black for the summer and then send them back to be refinished in the fall. I bought them right, I can get them refinished and still be $1200 or so ahead.

You can't see how nicely the wheels complement the car with the black finish. With a brushed or polished finish, you will be able see how much better looking they are on the car than the stock wheels.

Love the sedan, too!

I like the black. It's an attractive contrast against the white.

i think the brushed face would look a little better
just with the complete black wheel on a white car, it lacks detail IMO
but it sure makes the car look a lot more sinister

They look good. The contrast is nice but I usually prefer the gloss charcoal grey on P40s or better yet the brushed finish ; they're beautifully designed wheels and the black really hides that. But in any event, it's very hawt.

Yeah I'm not feeling the wheels.... but its your car in the end. I like the suggestion of getting a brushed face, that looks good. Either way I really like the M3 sedans now

I'm thinking that for a BMW, maybe a brushed wheel would be alittle better. But hey, that's why they make different wheels-for different tastes.

I would have to agree with your wife. IMO, black wheels are so played out, and they don't show the wheel design. Just look at the first picture.
