It was too easy...
Took it in on trade, most likely giving it to my brother, as it's one of his ATF cars... 2002 SE with about 80k miles. Car is mint.

Apparently KONI now sells springs. According to what I've been told, they are most likely made by either H&R or Eibach. I bought this:
And front & rear Eibach Sway Bars:
Wheels are Enkei PF01 17x7(about 15lbs each) with Firestone Wide Oval Indy 500 UHP Summer tires, 205/40/17. Went with them because they weren't expensive, and very highly rated.
Not sure if I'm going to send the wheels out to powder-coat...If I do, what color? I don't want to do black, was thinking maybe an anthracite finish? Or just keep it silver? Or keep some silver, and PC some of the wheel?
Have a few other mods to do for an increase of power, as well as some cosmetic mods, like a grille in front, the OEM front bumper lip, and the rear lip spoiler. Not going to go crazy with it, going to keep it simple and classy.

Do the wheels a gunmetal color. I think they would look great.
When the time comes, you should redo the roof in black cloth. Tan is

The top is dirty. Once you clean it/scrub it, the tan should look nice. The leather is also tan, so although a little bit of an unusual combination (to me at least), doesn't look too bad.

'08 MX5 GT 6spd.
17" wheel with almost 2" of drop...this should be interesting. They're going to look huge.
Personally I would've done a 16x8. Hopefully it wont give you any issues, I know 17x7 with a 215 will rub non-lowered on big bumps.

Wheels have a 38mm offset, 5.43" backspacing. The quote above was a general quote about the kit. The drop for this kit for the Miata is 35mm, or about 1.4". Stock wheels for the SE are 16", wanted to go +1. Anything over that on this car is overkill, IMO.

Never a dull moment...
We attempted to change the suspension during the week and realized that the part number for the spring/shock kit was correct for the car, but whoever packed it at Koni, packed the correct front shocks, but the incorrect rear shocks. I called up Koni and they offered to overnight the correct rear shocks to me, Saturday delivery. I got it yesterday, and installed them today. Something isn't right though....
...Yes, I took the lids off the front and rear lights..
I don't know if whoever packed this, along with sending us the wrong rear shocks (they were for the front of a Civic, it turns out), methinks they sent us the wrong rear springs for the car. The ride height in back almost looks as tall as how it was stock. The springs are labeled "front" and "rear", along with a number, which the front said 109, the back said 110 (or vice versa, I have it written down in my office). I have to call Koni yet again and find out what's going on. Aside from it all, the wheels/tires are rubbing in front when compressing, and I think I might have heard something in back, but not sure. I suggested to my buddy who helped me that we put the stock wheels/tires back on and see if it rubs, because he thinks it's because the alignment/camber/caster is way off and causing the rubbing, but I said to put the stock wheels/tires on and see if it still rubs to confirm this. I'd be shocked if the wheel offset is incorrect, as I went by Tire Rack's suggestion, and they are usually spot on in their wheel offset and tire sizing and this shouldn't happen.
As per Tire Rack, these are the wheel specs, as well as tire size recommendation:
Offset: 38mm
Backspacing: 5.43"
Bolt Pattern: 4-100
Rec. Tire Size:205/40-17
Have to find out tomorrow. Geez this car is starting to become real aggravating to deal with, and I haven't even been able to really drive it yet..Oh well...
