i live in ne ohio so i need @ good vehicle for snow. my choices r between the E cl@ss n the new M cl@ss. i like one just @s much @s the other. i @m le@ning more tow@rd the E bc i @m @ sed@n guy. my roommate has a new body style e320 4matic. it is the best all around car i have driven, it floats across the bumps but theres no body roll (it tears my acura to pieces in the corners). the steering is perfect for around town relaxed driving. 110 on nashville highways feels like 40 mph

 

I would go with the E, but make sure you dad tack on the package for scheduled maintanance. Starting from 04 or 05 new Mercedes owners have to pay for their own maintainance. I am looking at the E myself to replace my current C, but without family connections, keeping a E can get expensive.

I'll deviate from the norm and say... ML (cause there's no new M, like you said). It'll look newer for longer, the E is 3 years old already. Also, it's getting great reviews, or so I seem to recall. It looks decent (for an SUV, and I hate SUVs) and I hear it's more comfy than the E.

If you're concerned about styling/pimp factor/performance, get an E500 with 4MATIC.

 

How's the C55 price out in comparison to the ML350 / E350?

i say get the E350 4matic. We have a 2001 model and my parents loved it so much that we got the 2006 model too. The 2006 has never seen snow b/c they recently moved to Vegas, but the 2001 model (was an E320) did really well in the snow w/ all-seasons.

 

sorry for the "@" ... anyway I decided on a black/ash ML500 with premium package (wood and leather everywhere, seat warmers, navi, etc), tow package, auto close trunk and more ... if the financing isnt right I will be going with a black E350 ... the e500 is about 10k more and way out of my price range!
