New Car for My Dad - S5?
So my dad has had some troubles with his 5 series and I think he wants something new. He asked me to rank the S5, Jag XF, Acura RL, and GS350.
I obviously think he should get the S5, and ranked the XF second, then GS, then RL.
Is there any other car I should suggest? I think he's willing to spend around 60k
some car pr0n for you:

wow, I didn't think the battery issues became serious to a point where he'd want to sell it. What did the dealer say? If he doesn't need the two extra doors, my choice of the bunch will be the S5 as it's the best looking in my opinion.

I dunno if he's even taken it in yet. He's the type of person who would decide to trade it in before he even solves the problem

It would be a tough call for me between the S5 and XF. I love the S5's looks, but 4 doors are much better. The XF is very sexy in person.
For $60K, the CTS-V would be my first choice.

There's no need for him to have 4 doors. It's only him and my mom, and me when I go home to visit, and my mom has a Forester so that takes care of the 4 doors issue

the s5 is the best choice for him imo. the jaguar is almos on the same level as the s5 imho. My friend just purchased a new one and the fit and finish and ride quality is amazing. I really do recommend ur dad go test drive one if the s5 is not his cup of tea

Did he even testdrive any of these cars? Looks aside, the handling and performance of these cars are disparate as night and day. If he needs AWD, useable back seats, and doesn't mind a heavy ride then s5. If he places a higher premium on fun-to-drive then cayman s or lotus elise.
Or he should get over his gripes about a used car and go with a 05 CPO 997 which can be had for low 40s in this economy or 997s for 50s

IONO costco, you can't heel-toe with a PDK haha. I was getting my annual serivce last month at the dealership and 90% of the 997.2s were PDK! Definitely have to get sports chrono so you can do launch control which is sooo sick. If you don't mind 3 pedals and make it out to HI, hit me up and show me some heel-toe skills.

I think the reason why I'm pretty good at it is because its hard to modulate with my car's poor pedal placement

He says to me:
S5 of XJ, either would be cool. Maybe some day I'll bring his car to a Porsche dealership and get myself a test drive of a 911
Justing thinking here. Bring BMW in tomm night and already they are giving me hard time. When they asked how many miles are on car [he has ~6000 miles on it after 1.5 years], they said "You are not driving the car enough" I went off abit, explaining to her I didn't realize a $60K car had a mile quota for each day. I'll let you know. BTW, I like the Jag.
