i just saw the commercial and that car is beautiful lol. its no acura TL Type S but it will do. lol just joking. but the point is, i heard the sound of it and it sounded crazy. anyone know the source of that sound? is it the engine, exhaust, etc... i was curious to know if i can get that sound on my 3G TL-S. i probably wont do it but was just curious to know if it was possible.

oh and what do you guys think about that car? reliable, good price, etc...

 

Last I checked the C63 had an extra 2 cylinders on the TL-S, and a tuned exhaust system. So basically you just need to up the displacement of you engine and hope to achieve the same deep growl as the V8 produces. Seriously though, this is my favorite car at the moment.

 

I'm no mechanical gearhead but I presume that you're reffering to the exhaust note which is produced from the 6.2 litre V8. What most people don't know are the hours and work these companies spend to make these high performance sport sedans/coupes the way they do. You have to remember that all AMG vehicles are tuned for maximum vocal expression. You will never be able to get the same sound on your TL. Sorry

Have any of you watch the Top Gear show comparing the C63 vs new M3 vs RS4? I loved how the show host told his co-hosts the C63 is better than the other 2 cars. In a sense I agreed with him.

I'd buy a C63 over an M3 or an RS4.

The current R&T has a comparo featuring the C63 (vs RS4, IS-F and E90 M3) and it definitely seems to walk away from the RS4 and M3 as the speeds increase. Impressively, the IS-F runs pretty much neck-and-neck with the C63....without suffering from the W204's interior cheapness.

 

When comparing the c63, m3 and rs4, the Benz is the quickest to 60 but around the track its the slowest and the m3 dominates. Then again a lot of ppl get these cars for sort distance racing so I would get the c63 in a heartbeat. If I had 60k lying around.

i saw a CL63 a few months ago on the road. i couldnt quite place it when i saw those huge freaking rotors and then it went by. so tight

I ran one of these a few weeks ago, car was still wrapped in dealer plastic. Something must have been wrong with it tohugh because we were side by side up to about 100...I expected him to atleast pull 1-2 cars

 

He was probably at half throttle... Or was still breaking the car in....who knows...

I like the look of the new Merc C series, but the issue I have is they took the same f#$%ing design and tried to port it over into the SL. Not a good move guys.......

And an E63 would be my choice, or will they make an E70? That would be funny.

 

So which one would you guys choose (which one do you think is the best)?
